I have been invited to an indoor swimming party. I want to go because all of my friends are going, and it should be a lot of fun. Everyone wears bikinis that are going to this party, and I am slim and have round boobs but I have an outtie bellybutton.
I'm really embaressed about my bellybutton and I don't know what I should do. Should I not go to the party? Should I put band-aids around my bellybutton? HELP!

It's part of your body. Nothing to get embarrassed about! Don't worry about it, honey.......pffff.....

I just bet you won't be the only one there with an "outie" belly button. And why on Earth would that bother you anyway? No one I know would ever make fun of someones belly button.

Go to the party, don't worry about anything and just have as much fun as possible.

I know EXACTLY what your going through. Just wear a one piece outfit but i know how important this could be.

I had surgery around that area and they were noticable scars so I understand how embarrasing it can be. But sometimes I would wear a shirt or just have the towel covering it up. That way when I enter the pool I take off the towel and dip right in...some people will notice but who cares. Its a belly button so you can hide it easily. It could be worse..like mine

I had an outie till I was about 19. Then it turned into an innie by itself. To tell you the truth I was a little disapointed cos I was proud of my outie and so should you.

Are you kidding? So?

Half of all people have outties. So what. If you are that nuts about it, then buy a 1-piece swimsuit.

I think you should wear a bikini and pretend to be ultra-confident about your body because, well, you SHOULD be. E\veryone should love their body, and you have nothing to be ashamed of. Plenty of celebrities have them too, and they're all beautiful. I'm sure you are too.

It's nothing to be ashamed of. At all. Please don't let it stop you from living your life and having a good time. You're beautiful!

If people mess with you because of it -- make a joke out of it . . . if you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at?

Tell them . . . it's your "God-given personal flotation device."
