All non Catholic Christians worship Martin Luther and pray to him believing that he is the intercessor between man and God. Martin Luther is dead and the Bible teaches that we are forbidden to pray to the dead. The Bible teaches very differently, therefore non Catholic Christians do NOT follow the Bible but the doctrines of men. These people have no understanding of the Bible ans follow the doctrines of men and traditions instead of the Bible. They follow Joel Osteen instead of Christ and believe that He is infallible and impeccable as their leader. Their Church was actually started by William Jefferson Clinton (Blythe) in the late 20th century and Hillary Clinton is their goddess. They are truly lost and are unsaved.

"what has to happen before Protestants and Fundamentalists believe Catholics do not worship Mary?" - Hell has to freeze over.
Some people don't care about the truth, just their own ideas, and will never change their minds.

Steve-

Luther said something interesting about sola scriptura, something like "how can the Holy Spirit tell some that baptism is necessary, others that it's not, to some that sabbath is on saturday. this creates self-proclaimed prophets"

secondly, your catechism quote refers to people who think that by saying "go Jesus" they can sit on the couch and think to themselves "now that i've accepted Jesus, God has no choice but to let me into Heaven! my salvation is assured!"

third, the catholic church teaches "by grace alone, but with a compliance in free will"

and to answer your quesiton Midge- I say we say Martin Luther is worshipping. or that they worship the bible instead of Jesus.(as in paper)

and i'm sure we can throw in a "they're really just some ancient culture pagan practice"
how about Chinese? obviously it's founded on chinese paganism. (sarcasm)

Hey Midge

The church teaches Catholics to venerate her and that she was born without sin. I personally do not agree with that dogma or theology, but I wont say all worship her. I do want to add though, there are some latino and asian cultures that tend to focus on Mary more than Jesus, though I think its not necessarily the rule with Catholics. Gods peace to you :)

I think the belief came from Jesus said to ask all things in his name and I believe that catholics use Mary' name in prayer and going thru her for blessings.

People don't like to agree, especially on religion. That is why they are seperated in the first place, along with the lutherans and even the Jews.
so the answer, I think, is likely never. Why would they want to admit they are like you when they KNOW they are better than you???

Mary is dead like so many others who went before us. And the bible clearly tells us , that the dead don't know nothing. So I am so sure, that Mary or any other dead person do not hear us pray .

I just went to mass a couple of weeks ago and there was a crucifix to my right of the priest and a mary statue to my left of the priest. At one point he invited us to pray to "our mother" mary and we said the hail mary.
Looks like worship, sounds like worship..........

What does communion have to do with it? Respond to what I said. Is it worship? Why or why not? (I didn't go to communion)
