having read that quote, is there any reason to believe a Bible-fundie when he/she claims to have found the truth when he/she only has one "proof" to "back it up" and that proof is the only thing they use in a futile attempt to reason that what they have is the truth?

They think you can use the bible....to prove the bible. That has got to be one of the most ignorant idea's know to human kind. It's like saying that oompa loompa's are real just because Charlie and the Chocolate factory says they are.

whilst this is a very good quote, i'm going to maximum efficient know those people who're searching for the fact. i'm now no longer likely to think what anybody says basically once you evaluate that they are basic and good intentioned. i'm going to shop on with what the evidence shows. Then, whilst I be sure in spite of seems eye-catching appropriate i'm going to provisionally think it regardless of the undeniable fact that this is maximum efficient pending greater evidence. anybody who claims to comprehend the fact I doubt. anybody who talks approximately the reality scares me in basic terms a sprint.

Good quote.

That, I believe, is the fundamental difference between science and religion.

Science doesn't claim anything in absolute terms. It realizes that our knowledge of the world is imperfect and continually searches for new evidence that might give us more insight.

Religion makes absolute claims, then attacks anything that contradicts those claims. It only gradually evolves as its position becomes untenable in the face of overwhelming evidence.

That sounds reasonable to me. I wonder if it applies to people who are certain that atheism is the truth.
