Heya.. I've had my PS3 for nearly 6 months now and yesterday when I was playing it suddenly had a disc-error. I thought it was just the disc but when I tried the others it won't run smoothly and gets stuck often, how do I solve this? Any suggestions or similar experiences? Thanks.

You still have warranty, so don't open. Probably it's dust on the lens or other parts of the system. Take it to the service and don't use cleaning CDs - they can damage the lens.
Don't use intercoolers - they make things worse (because they drain power from console - that causes unstable functioning). Just put it in nicely ventilated place.

Pick up a dvd lens cleaning disk $12.00..Run it a couple of times and it will clean the lens ...Do it once a month especially if you rent games....

if you have a warranty then take it back to the store then they will give you a new one but if its a 20gb or 60gb(only if the store does not have anymore 60gb) then call up sony and ask them what you should do since they stopped making the 20 and 60gb

If you had it in an enclosed area when you were playing it it probably overheated and melted something if so you gotta get a new one and I'm gonna suggest an intercooler.
