I have used both and was wondering which one most people like better. I have been using VMWare Fusion for only a few days but Parallels for months. Right now I like Fusion better.

Depend on your needs, I use mostly Windows VM, so VPC2007 is what I use most, on a AMD dualcore 3Ghz/3GB and 2 Raptors on RAID-0, as all 3 of the main players make uses of virtualization, the performance difference is not that much different.

I do use Parallels and VMware, I sometimes find VMW slow on display but makes up with the features such as snaps, which is very useful for stepping back, Parallels seem a bit quicker but the VM it generates sometime can BSOD for no reasons.

once you're surfing the internet unprotected, you *do* have one or more suitable viruses. although, because you're utilizing a Mac, a living house windows virus might want to likely have little to no effect on you (except occupy HDD area). A *Mac* virus (and there are a very large style of them accessible, yet they are uncommon in evaluation to living house windows viruses) on the different hand... maximum computing gadget safe practices agencies produce a Mac version of their AV classes and suites. by the way...a tech of my acquaintance had a shopper that had his living house windows container contaminated by technique of files transferred from a Mac via USB key. The virus turned right into a living house windows virus that the Mac person had picked-up at the same time as surfing, because he had no AV application or different safe practices classes operating. strong luck!
