Last night I was baptized...and like building up to that point I was all gittery and stuff, being excited and all...and then I went into the water and I felt nothing.

It was like, my stomach/nerves calmed down and I felt peaceful...like I didn't think about anything(except being under water) and all my worries what had been bothering me lately had basically gone away.

Was yours kindof like that?

I told you this story, They didn't let the water heat up before they started filling it,(someone dropped the ball) and that bottom half of the font was cold, and the upper part was warm...

I felt a lot of love that day, my best friend that baptized me had such admiration and pride in his eyes, i'll never forget the way he looked that day. I was full of peace and energy and serenity. It was realy beautiful The moment right before the dunked me was the minute I knew I was in the right place.

Well, I was 8 and I knew I should get baptized and why, but I wasn't to the spiritual development that I'm at now. Because of this I still felt calm and peaceful about the whole thing, but I didn't fully appreciate it until I was older. Thank Goodness for the Temple! Now I can feel that as often as I want to! :D

Choice one Bro.

I can't remember much of mine I was 8 years old. Now nearing middle aged.

When I was 21, I Baptised my little brother. Someone had thought it funny to fill the font with cold water and ice earlier in the day and not say anything about it. The little man turned blue from head to toe and got hypothermic. Very sad...But he remembers it in a funny way.

I would seriously council you though to be very careful what you let into your head from this website. This R&S section is without question Satans favorite toy for screwing with some of us.

You have people on here that claim they are members and once you talk to them, every twisted lie and form of deception comes out.

Mine was like a flash. It happened so quickly. I almost didn't have any time to think about it at all. Some people go down in the water and they come out speaking in tongues! (One of the signs that you are filled with the Holy Spirit.) It's really cool!

Congrats!!!!
I was 8 when I was baptized, but I remember watching baptisms of close friends, and remembering the feelings that I had and the joy on their faces.
For me, I remember coming out and looking at my dad, and him saying I'd have to do it again.... my hair had come up! So he redid the prayer, and put me back under.
I have such peace, and I don't recall how I felt that day, but I remember how I feel now everyday and especially on Sunday.

When I went into the font I was REALLY nervous. After my Dad put me under the water and brought me up I felt happy and clean. I wasn't nervous at all anymore. Yes it was really peaceful. Pretty much like yours.

I am so happy for you!!! I remember the feeling of peace. Also, knowing, with extreme confirmation that what I was doing pleased Heavenly Father. It felt great!!

To be saved is the true baptism... The feeling is hard to explain .. But you have an enlightenment you can make decisions clearly and make the right choices.. Things become very clear to you.....That weren't so clear before...Hope this helps and your question was not just a joke...

It was just peaceful. How it should be. I was sick that day, but I didn't feel so bad once I was baptized.
