pushups wont make you lose weight - you will gain muscle.
to lose weight you have to follow healthy diet and do cardio 4-6 times a week for average of 45min (running, jogging, HIIT, hiking, swimming, elliptical, rope jumping etc)

You should definetly ramp up the workouts. If you don't have access to any gym whether it be at a school, or a fitness center it is going to be tough. If you don't have access to a gym I would definetly reccommend sprint work, or hill sprints, even stadiums (running up and down stairs). They would all give your pushups a boost. Let me know if this helps, email me I think we could come up with alternatives without the gym. No charge of course.
