Girl's name tattoos are generally a bad idea. I think they are starting to develop some tattoos that are more easily removed if you get dumped, though.
Ethically, it is neither right nor wrong. Whether it works for you is ultimately your own decision.

it is wrong to do it for a worldy reason (such as a girl) its acceptable to do it with a Godly reason
it could spark up some ministering oppurtunitys or remind you of the price he paid for you
when im a little older im gonna get a jesus fish on my ankle or sholder

Tips, never tatoo your girlfriend name. I consider that is the most stupid thing you will ever do. What if your two broke up.

Getting a tattoo of someone's name is pretty lame. Why don't you do a symbol of some sort that reminds you of her that she will understand?
BTW, who do you want to know if they think it's wrong? Any certain religion? Because I don't think it's wrong to get a tattoo.

No. But you might want to get something other than your girl's name. Even though you like her now, you might not later on and you'll be stuck with her name on your body. Then you'll have to spend thousands getting it removed.

I don't think its wrong to get tattoos but then again I'm not christian. I'm sure most of them will disagree. However, are you sure getting a name is wise? Ya know, sh*t happens...
