Mine: The wedding date since I am horrible and can never remember our anniversary as it is
His: "If you see this, put it back on!"
Just think about the two of you. for instance all the time I ask him "what are you" and he has to respond "sexy beast and yours" so another option considered for his ring was "sexy beast" on the inside. I'm a big smartass so I also considered "bout time" "my hubie hubby (play off his last name" and possibly something sappy like "now and forever" but in German since he's proud of his heritage.
Personally i was never a fan of the sappy stuff like "our souls merged" or "then, now, always". I mean the sentiments are true but kinda generic.

My mother got my dad's wedding band engraved with "two souls bonded by God" and their wedding date. If I were you I'd put an inside joke on there or something funny that only you two share!

We have these little letters which are FEM which we quite often send to each other via text during the day or on notes.
FEM - Forever Mine
That is what we are going to have engraved on our wedding rings and the date.

It is usual to engrave the nickname of the bride in the groom's wedding band, and to engrave the groom's nickname in the bride's wedding band.

Nothing on mine, band is too thin.
Go with something meaningful to the two of you, or alternatively - something very generic like the wedding date.

Just the spouses name and the wedding date.
That way, if you forget either of those important bits of information, you can just take off your ring and take a look. Of course, by then you can't read the small writing anyhow.

Ours say,"Forever begins 9-27-97". A little mushy, but
we're the mushy type.
