Ok so theres three guys that walk into a restaurant.
The meal cost $25 and each pay $10. ($30 total)
The waiter brings the change of $5 and each decide on how to split the $5.
They take one dollar each and leave $2 to the waiter.

Therefore they paid $9 each (10 - 1(change) = 9)
9x3 = 27
+2 (waiter's share) = 29
how is it that theres one dollar missing if they paid $30 total

if thats confusing then letme know but its really INTERESTING

nothing is missing. i know this one. trust me
cause
they spend 30 bucks.
10 each.
10 x 3= 30.
change of 5 bucks
they each take 1 buck back, and leave two.
that is 5.
the change and tip altogether is $5

so nothing is missing.

9 x 3 = $27, but the $2 is included in the 27
27 - 2 = $25 (the cost of meal)
30 - 27 = $3.
3 + 2 = $5
25 + 5 = $30

The men each pay 8.33 for their meal. This equals 24.99. They pay 10 each, their change should be 1.67 each. If they leave the .67 each for the tip, that equals 2.01. 24.99 + 2.01=27 plus their leftover dollars equals 30, therefore there is not a dollar missing

They really paid $8.33 each for the actual meal. (25 divided by 3 = 8.33)

$8.33 + $1 each = $9.33
9.33 x 3 = 28; + 2 = $30
