It has been proven that neolithic man worshipped a Goddess.

So I must say a Goddess religion was the oldest form of religion.

Hinduism is generally considered to be the oldest religion still being practiced today. This ancient religion was born when the Aryan peoples migrated to Northern India and first put their religious tradition into writing. The texts they created are the Vedas, which were written around 1,500 B.C.E. (before common era) and have greatly influenced Indian culture ever since.
Several other religions are almost as old as Hinduism. Judaism traces its roots back to the patriarch Abraham, who lived around 1,800 B.C.E. While the Jewish people are descended from Abraham, it was Moses who first recorded the Torah, the Jewish holy text, in 1,400 B.C.E. Most sources consider the date of the Torah as the beginning of Judaism.

Zoroastrianism is sometimes called the world's oldest prophetic religion. It's certainly one of the earliest religions founded by one person. Scholars are not certain when the founding prophet Zarathustra actually lived. Some believe Zarathustra lived in the 6th century B.C.E., while others trace his writings to the 14th or 13th centuries B.C.E.

India has been a veritable cradle for world religions -- in addition to Hinduism, both Jainism and Buddhism originated in India. The first of Jainism's sacred lords, called a Tirthankara, lived in the 8th century B.C.E. The last of these lords was Mahavir, who lived in the 5th century B.C.E. and was a key figure in spreading the religion. The philosophical teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, known as the Buddha, spread around Asia after his death in 483 B.C.E.

Oddly enough, the two religions that dominate the world today are relative newcomers to the spiritual scene. Christianity began with the teachings of Jesus Christ around 30 C.E., and Islam started in 610 C.E. with the prophet Muhammad's revelation.

Hinduism, the world’s oldest religion, has no beginning--it precedes recorded history. It has no human founder. It is a mystical religion, leading the devotee to personally experience the Truth within, finally reaching the pinnacle of consciousness where man and God are one.

Hinduism is unique among the world's religions. I boldly proclaim it the oldest religion in the world. To begin with, it is mankind's oldest spiritual declaration, the very fountainhead of faith on the planet. Hinduism's venerable age has seasoned it to maturity. It is the only religion, to my knowledge, which is not founded in a single historic event or prophet, but which itself precedes recorded history. Hinduism has been called the "cradle of spirituality," and the "mother of all religions," partially because it has influenced virtually every major religion and partly because it can absorb all other religions, honor and embrace their scriptures, their saints, their philosophy. This is possible because Hinduism looks compassionately on all genuine spiritual effort and knows unmistakably that all souls are evolving toward union with the Divine, and all are destined, without exception, to achieve spiritual enlightenment and liberation in this or a future life.

Hinduism is considered the oldest organized religion. This religion was born when the Aryan peoples migrated to Northern India and first put their religious tradition into writing.

Judaism is also one of the oldest as it traces back to Abraham.

Hard to say, since religion predates the invention of writing and doesn't turn up unequivocally in archaeological sites. The oldest for which we have fairly definite evidence is some sort of Vedic Hinduism, if I'm not mistaken.

Paganism has existed right along with religion. If you are asking for the true religion, then it will have to be "The Way" which was the religion that Jesus Christ started. The religion that teaches and spreads the gospel throughout the earth on a person-to-person basis. The religion that Paul persecuted prior to converting to it.

(Acts 22:4) 4 And I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and handing over to prisons both men and women,
(Acts 24:14) 14 But I do admit this to you, that, according to the way that they call a ‘sect,’ in this manner I am rendering sacred service to the God of my forefathers, as I believe all the things set forth in the Law and written in the Prophets. . .

That's somewhat disputed... there are a lot of REALLY old religions out there- probably the top ones are Buddhism, Hinduism, and any form of paganism (this can be anything from ancient Greek or Egyptian or any other cultures' religions).

The belief in God goes back to Adam.Parts of Adam's line kept it alive for thousands of years. After the flood,Noah's family tried to keep Monotheism alive but even his family as they spread though the world forgot God and began worshipping "the creature rather than the creator".God then appeared to Abraham and got it all back on track again. On down the line to David and to Jesus. All these other religions all started ALL STARTED after this original Monotheism .

Oldest in it's modern form, or through evolution?

The Abrahamic religions are derived from Egyptian mythologies (though most of these people won't admit it!) and so that adds to its age.
