I feel the need to ask this question because with every passing day I see people who amaze me as there are some that make me feel as if the entire world is sinking down a endless black hole...
Not even the salvation of Jesus or the mercy of Allah seems to bring the touch of light to their heart...how come ?
What is spirituality ?

Spirituality is not always praising God or always carrying a bible doesn't resemble your spirituality.In my view,helping poor people who are in need,telling truth...all these things comes under spirituality.Our lifes should be an example to everyone.It doesn't matter whether you go to any church or some religious place. or not.....what really matters and what God really need is a Holy heart and deeds which are holy...So enjoy your life fruitfully.God bless you.

Spirituality in a common usage and understanding defines the relationship between humanity (man) and divinity (God). Its is the acts or practice that portray a close relationship betwen and person and invisible being (spirit) in which the person so concerned in one way or the other communicate with the spirit in a lanquage or tone that he only can understand and interprete to the ordinary person.
Spirituality is a practice or an acts in which humans seek knowledge, wisdom and find answers to issues or problems that beyond human understanding. Its works in conjuction with faith and belief on the spirit Godhead. In christianity, Jesus Christ is the Spiritual Godhead who communicates with the prophent and they in turn interprete to the church what the spirit is saying.
Spirituality is to be totally immersed in the activities of tthe spirit world and be a mediator between God (Spirit), Nature and Man so as to leave in harmony and be at peace.

This is a great question. I answer it as a Christian, but it is my working definition. I have needed to answer the question, too. I mean spirituality to indicate what we do to agree and cooperate with what God is doing. Therefore, this spirituality assumes a living relationship. The Christian belief is that God is relational, coming close to humanity as Jesus and sustaining the relation by faith. Spirituality as commonly used, suffers from the baggage of acts people do. When they are corresponding acts with God, then they are the spirituality. As the person moves along, he/she becomes more like God's characteristics: patience, rightness, goodness, wise, etc.

Great question! Many people confuse spirituality with religious dogma-I don't agree with that at all. Spirituality is a deep knowing that there is some kind of higher power connected directly with our own spirit-and it is wonderful and beautiful. Religion is not spiritual-most of it talks of a vengeful and hate-filled God. In reality, God is not capable of these negative traits - these are all human traits. Spirituality is a bright light shinning in a cold and angry world.

Hopefully it means that you are leading a Godly life lead by the Holy Spirit.
A lot of spirituality today doesn't require a reverence for the Bible.

Spirituality is the pursuit of spiritual enlighenment--the knowledge of all things in the universe. Perhaps you mean faith? Faith is the belief in something that gives you comfort when no other solution is at hand. That way changes can occur when answers are found or new scientific discoveries are made.

I think spirituality has become the new agnostic. it simpley means taht you beleive there is something more that you beleive there is something devine either out there in some vague sence or inside humanity
