I'm planning on doing on a diet and exercsing and everything.
But...I'm still growing if you know what I mean...I just got my first period ever over the summer and I turned 15 on Monday...but I'm still kinda flat-chested. They are growing a little but no one can notice except for me of course because I look everyday and they seem a little bit more shapely...anyways back to the point. Over the summer...I also gained 20 pounds...I'm still at a healthy weight and everything...
but i guess because my body is about to fill out....my mom said it needs extra weight.
Now, i know for a fact that a good percentage of the weight i put on was from snacking waaay too much...
So how can I lose weight and get toned...but without losing the extra weight I need to fill out?

Do you have siblings? Are they flat too? I would EAT but jog. So you can grow boobs but not get fat.

First of all, start exercising (cardio) for at least 60 minutes five days a week. Do push ups, crunches, squats, and lunges every day (build up to at least fifty on each). This will help you get toned. But make sure you eat enough! At your age, you should eat around 2200-2500 calories per day (after 20, that count would be about 2000, if you were active).
If you don't let yourself "fill out", you'll lack the curves most women have. And breasts? Forget about it. Before I was bulimic, I wore a size C. Two years--give or take six months--later, I wear a size A.
Also, if you let your body fat percentage drop too low, you won't have a period, which is called amenorrhea. That sounds convenient, but it spells trouble. It can leave you infertile or with osteoporosis. I have amenorrhea from my cyclical binge-pure dieting. It's left me with bones like those of a sixty-year-old.
You are too young to "diet". What you should do is embrace a "healthy lifestyle". This is one where you get some exercise daily--even if it's just a twenty minute brisk walk. You should be moderate in added sugars. Moderate your salt and fat intake and eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Do this and you'll fill out, look, AND feel good.
You say you are at a healthy weight. This is a good thing, though it can be kind of annoying, or even scary. If you continue to have issues with your body image, talk to an adult you trust.
I wish you the best of luck.

It sounds like your thinking about spot reduction. That's the magical idea that a certain exercise will make fat melt away in a very specific area. If you want to lose body fat do some cardio. That's the best advice that I can give. That and you can continue to snack but eat healthier things. Trade the twinkie for a tangerine.

The summer I turned 14, I gained 10 lbs in two months....so I think that was very similar to what you are going through. I believe your best bet at such a young age is everything in moderation. If you want pizza, just have one or two slices, not five or six, if you make sure you eat lots of veggies and fruits and cut out sodas and high calorie juices and fried foods, you'll probably be right on track.
The beauty about regular exercise is not only is it healthy for your body, but it helps relieve stress, and I remember being your age, it was stressful! LOL

eat healthy food no more junk stuff except on free days (once a week) and exercise daily and no diet just keep a record of weight and perhaps maths may help weight in kilos squared divided by height. answer under 25 increase consumption over 25 decrease amount but still eat healthy. Hope it helps and don't worry curves will happen all in good time and enjoy the growing process.

first things first-there is no good diet except one where you eat a variety of healthy foods everyday-but dont stress- treat yourself periodically or you'll just end up binging from depriving yourself.second exercise at least three days a week,do something you enjoy and reaps you plenty of benefits-you dont have to run if you dont like it-you could bike go hiking, swim, etc.(personally im a runner and it does burn fat fastest)
last of all-your body is def changing but its not as drastic as you may be anticipating-it's gonna be okay as long as you take care of yourself-remember you are a teen so your metabolism is naturally higher than at any other age so you're gonna burn fat anyway-dont sweat the small stuff-dont beat yourself up if you dont exercise-and i promise you will fill out and grow up to be a gorgeous girl.i did!

but why unless you are o nly 4 feet tall??? eat a good balanced food plan - leaving off half the grains and cereals, no potatoes either and do a lot of sit ups, tummy crunches, and things like that. Bike or walk for an hour daily. Drink lots of water while you are doing it. You may or may not lose weight but you will feel great!

Your mom is right about not going on a diet, although I'm not sure her reasons are correct.
The only 'diet' you should go on is one that you can live on for the rest of your life. Any diet that promises or delivers fast weight loss does more harm to your metabolism than good. It, in effect, trains your body to live with starvation and it therefore lowers it's metabolism... often for good.
