I got a Jack Russell female the other day. Her nipples are enough to pull on. How can I tell if she is pregnant. Please help me. Also if she is, how do I go about delivering?

You take the dog to a VET!!!!!!! When you get a new dog or cat you should ALWAYS take it to the vet ASAP!! They can fill you in on all the details of what to do if necessary!!!

Why would you think she is pregnant?
How old is she?
Did you buy her from a BACK YARD BREEDER, PUPPY MILL, PET STORE or an ad in the paper or adopt her from a pound or rescue? If you answered yes to any of the above you have a pet quality dog that should not be bred.
If she is pregnant let her have the pups & get her spayed as soon as the swelling goes down. This is so you don't add to the over population.
If you paid a couple of thousand on her then you have a dog that should have Pedigree Papers as well as the registry papers. If you don't she is JUST pet quality & should be spayed as soon as possible.
Take her to the vet to see.

She could be pregnant or she could have had babies already. Sometimes pregnant dogs' genitals swell a little bit. You can also palpate her belly. To be sure, take her to the vet. Its always a good idea to take a new dog to the vet anyway.

Also, you are supposed to take a new dog to the vet within 24 hours of getting it to have it checked for any illnesses.

u could go 2 the vet and get her examined....where did u get it??who would sell u a dog that may be pregnant?
if she does have pups give her special mom food or puppy chow
