I think this questioner dressed like a troll is trying to get Christians to say they rather a rapist teach their child than a homosexual. We all know rapists are in an entire different category from the rest of humanity. This question is an insult to homosexuals and Christians.

Did you mean "Who" I'd rather have teaching my children?

Well, obviously, a homosexual. However, I'd prefer that they kept their sex life where it belongs: In the bedroom.

And I'd prefer the same for heterosexuals, by the way.

My 12th grade science teacher was a lesbian, and she was a GREAT teacher. I still love her dearly. She's one of the best teachers I ever had.

Well, first off I'd rather have my children taught by a "who" than by a "what".

And, obviously, 1. Simply being gay doesn't make you violent or untrustworthy or any of that. It doesn't even guarantee you a good fashion sense, popular opinion to the contrary.

I'd rather have a qualified person teach them.
A person's inborn orientation has no bearing on their qualifications.

I certainly wouldn't want an ignorant bigot to teach them - something might be contagious.

rapist cant legally be around children so i know that's never going to happen.

i could careless if it was a straight person or a homosexual who taught my kid. as long as my child is paying attention in class and bringing home good grades.

here comes the thumbs down: also, if my child did have a homosexual teacher i don't want them to push their beliefs on my child. just like I'm sure other parents wouldn't want christian teachers pushing their beliefs on their children.

Do you have to compare a homosexual to a rapist? I have homosexual friends who I would trust to watch my kids. I am a Christian and they know we have differences, but bad point my friend. If I was a homosexual, I would be offended by your question.

A homosexual, obviously; they understand persecution and can talk about it. They are more likely more compassionate than the average individual, and know what it takes to survive in a world filled with bigotry.

Are those the only possibilities?

And who would be teaching what subjects?

You sound like a funny mentalist! I'd rather teach my kid to respect someone's sexual preference than teach him Christianity.
