I haven't done anything that far, but it depends on habit. If you've done it enough times, it is no big deal.
They can still eat after 7:14pm, so it's not like they can't eat at all.
You just eat at a different time, although it's quite a long time in between meals.
You could get used to it after a while. Human beings didn't always have breakfast, lunch, and dinner while they were evolving. So, given practice, we can handle it. It may have some benefits.
It shouldn't be forced though. Some monks and religious people do fast. And I know some muslim people who do that regularly. They just don't try to do a lot of activities during fast, and they conserve their energy.

1. Fasting means not eating. Anything.
2. What you obviously refer to is Ramadan, the Muslim fasting month.
3. Which takes me to: Islam does not encourage youngsters that age to fast nor women during their period, the eldery, sick or too weak. All these groups can if they want to, but are neither required nor encouraged to do so.

I know where this is going. I can't change the world but I can make people aware of the problems and help make myself aware of where I fit into them. For 6 years I have participated in World Vision's 30 Hour Famine (2 yrs as group leader so far) and this year I am expanding it to a club/ society at my school and hopeing to raise more awareness about global issues like poverty and HIV. Keep asking these questions please.

I dont approve it- its not healthy - if God didnt want people to work on food (like cars work on gas) it would be permanent thing.
You deprive your body, slow down metabolism and your body will not achieve its full potential - growth, brain developments etc wise.
when body doesnt get food regularly (every 2-3 hours which is healthy) it stores as much fat as possible and uses muscle for energy - it consumes itself.

I've been fasting ever since I was 8, and honestly its great.
I guarantee you, if fasting was harmful to ones body or soul Allah(swt) wouldn't permitted us to do so( For example menstruating women, sick, ill are not to fast). Well, now I'm a 14yr girl, who fasts. I think you should go for it, but remember if you haven't hit puberty ITS A CHOICE.
Well, Ramadhan is now over, try 4 it next year
Eid Mubarak
