Whats cool about Sertraline hcl?

Question

I cant smoke the good green stuff, and the doctor gave me this for depression and stress...i know the good green stuff takes care of me...but with it being illegal, i cant smoke it...i dont really llike pills...but my doc gave me this...is this some what the same as the good green stuff? or would i be wasting time taking them? thanx.

It is and it isn't... The "Good Green" affects your mood by attaching to Cannabinoid receptors in your Central Nervous System and altering your perceptions of things and heightening your mood; Sertraline (or Zoloft as the trade name) is a chemical compound that blocks certain receptors in your CNS and allows more of a chemical called Serotonin to float freely between nerve endings, thereby increasing the amount, and hopefully heightening your mood. Both are chemically active, but both have different actions. As far as anything other than mood stabilization, Zoloft will not give you the giddy high, or the altered perception of things, nor will it give you the "munchies, cotton mouth, giggles" or euphoria.
