Edwards. That's not to say Hamlin isn't a good driver. I just think Concrete Carl the right mixture of brains, talent and charisma. In order to be in Gordon's league though, he has to have a couple of really INSANE years where he hits double digit wins.
Denny falls prey to Smoke-itis once in a while. He doesn't wear that bad boy image as well as Tony does.

I'm sorry to say but neither Carl Edwards nor Denny Hamlin will be the next Jeff Gordon. There will never be another Jeff Gordon, just like there will never be another Dale Earnhardt or "King" Richard Petty. These 3 are one of a kind in the NASCAR world. In my personal opinion there are only a select few who could take over and take NASCAR into the future. Those being Jimmie Johnson, Dale Jr., & Smoke (aka Tony Stewart). So in closing while these 2 are good drivers neither will ever accomplish what Jeff Gordon has done in his career.

Out of those two, I would say Carl Edwards could be the next Jeff Gordon, but personally there is a driver I think is even better than Carl Edwards.

Carl is already a better driver than Hamlin. Carl Edwards has to win lots and lots of races to compare to Jeff Gordon.

No one will be able to be the next Jeff Gordon in my thoughts, i like both carl and Denny. When they were rookies i pulled for them after the dumb thing Carl did to Junior at Michigan it made me not like him anymore, the more Denny drives the more i can't stand him!
In terms of Talent? I think Denny has Carl beaten

Jamie Macmurray won a race in either his first or second start and hasn't done squat since, so that means nothing. Edwards will have a great career ahead of him, but Roush Racing needs to either change or improve for him to be a consistent contender. Look what happened to Mark Martin in his first race in a Chevy. Almost won the Daytona 500. I like Jack Roush but for some reason, his cup teams are hot and cold and very inconsistent. Greg Biffle hasn't done much all year until Kansas.

Gordon is one of a kind. I like both Hamlin and Edwards, but they don't come close to Jeff.

Neither Edwards or Hamlin will be the next Gordon...but out of the two, Hamlin has the best chance.

Hes got the skill of a champion. Even though Edward is a Ford driver, I will say this about him, Carl is going to be a multi-time champion throughout his career.
