I'm looking for a Vodka that I can find in most decent liquour stores, is very good quality, but not crazy expensive. I'm just learning to appreciate Vodkas. Thoughts?

Basically the higher up on the shelf at the liquor store the better. I am sure you've heard the term 'topshelf'. Anyway, go to the store and either ask the clerk for a recommendation. They don't just work there. Most of them have a pretty good sense of what is good and bad.
Or, get a few of the little bottles that they usually keep up by the register. Those are best for sampling several varieties at once. Some names to look for though, Grey Goose, Belvidere, Smirnoff, Krakov.

Absolute, Smirnoff
and Stoli are just above average Vodka's
Grey Goose is considered the better Vodka, but that is partly due to marketing and packaging. Truth be told, in a taste test done by ABC News on premium Vodka's, everyone (and I mean everyone) in a blind taste test hated the Grey Goose the most, and they actually picked Smirnoff as their favorite, so it's not always the price that determines the quality of a Vodka. Of the premuim vodka's (which generally means it was a fermented an purified in multiple stages) Belvadere rated as one of the best, but in taste alone the $13.00 Smirnoff beat them all. The link below stories this test they conducted and will help you answer more of your questions, and there are many other sites that also compare whether or not a premium is any better. Would also on personal taste recommend the Belvadere or Skyy Vodka's.

I switched from beer to vodka and tried a lot of them. Wanted the best I could get for the least price. IE: Most distilled, most filtered. No way was I going to drink rotgut vodka.
Turns out most of the top shelf stuff is good but I hated to pay THAT much for their advertising etc.....I finally ended up with "Svedka", made in Sweden, I believe.
Voted best vodka in 2003, price is better than the best and in testing my friends out (blindly) with the best tasting, it won out every time......

Grey Goose is the best! Its about $35 for a fifth of it and $18 for a pint.

Kettle One always seems to go down the smoothest for me. But you can get fancy and try all of the Absolute flavored vodkas, they are pretty tasty.

I prefer Tito"s, but I might be prejudiced since it's made here in Texas! It's priced about like Smirnoff, but distilled several more times. Has a good clean flavor...good luck and enjoy your search!!
