The expiration date is so that the unfrozen meat will be sold before it spoils. You can usually keep frozen meats from 6 to 8 months with no problem.

the labeling usually is for the "sell buy date" . if they were frozen as soon as you bought them they will be perfectly good to eat.

Use or freeze products with a "Sell-By" date within 3 to 5 days of purchase

If the manufacturer has determined a "Use-By" date, observe it. This is a quality assurance date after which peak quality begins to lessen but the product may still be used. It's always best to buy a product before its date expires. It's not important if a date expires after freezing beef because all foods stay safe while properly frozen.

hope this helps. enjoy.

No. Food has little to no nutritional value after being frozen for 3 weeks. A good rule of thumb is to throw out frozen food after a month.

If they look grainy or grey then they have freezer rot although sometimes it can look like extra bright red meat. I do this all the time - just keep an close eye and nose on it and you'll probably be fine

Yes, the freshness dates on meat usually say

"Use or Freeze by...whatever date"

So, if you put it in the freezer before 8-31-07
you're good!!

Yes they are fine, as long as they have been kept frozen since you first bought them.

If they are bad they should smell a little funny, unless you drenched them with a bunch of seasonings then maybe you want be able to smell the actual meat.

any kind of meat will last up to a year as long as you froze it as soon as you bought it. of course if the wrap is broken or wasn't wrapped right to begin with or if it has freezer burn then i wouldn't eat it.

They might be they might not be. Personally I'd eat them but then I'll eat anything.
