It says they died out from a flood and that they were all on noahs ark and all that, why? they never were. Also, why does the bible completely disagree with the FACT of evolution when it's completely 100% true? man and dinosaurs never lived at nearly the same time, and dino's were definatley NOT on the ark. And why does the bible agree with the existence of dinosaurs?, I thought serpents were supposed to be evil and all that, I thought the bible would just say that dinosaurs were a myth or something.

maranath, could you please fill me in on the time dinosaurs and humans lived together, seeing as dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago and modern humans and neanderthals only evolved around 12,000 years ago, this doesent seem very likely, not to mention the fact that humans evolved AFTER the ice age through which dinosaurs could not have survived.

Zhuge L, you dont think that some insane creationist lunatic just put the saddle on the fake skeleton of which you speak? Your answer was good apart from one thing: Man and dinosaurs NEVER lived together.

I think we've established that the Bible doesn't come right out and say these things. However the inference is there or at least the questions are left un answered. Most Christians believe the Biblical time frame places the age of the Earth at less than ten thousand years. Obviously we can see and touch dino remains so we know they existed. So according to the Christian age of the Earth, and that God created everything in 7 days, I thinks it's a fair inference that the Bible implies that men and dinos lived at the same time. The Bible says that Noah took two of every living thing onto the ark. Again one must guess that this means dinos too even though its not in black and white. The flood destroyed all life on Earth except for what was on the ark, so its fair to assume that a few dinos survived, but possibly couldn't adjust to the post flood world. So, in order to believe the old testament, one is left making many assumptions and drawing conclusions to unanswered questions. However, there exists a worldwide layer of iridium rich rock referred to as the KT boundary. Whatever asteroid impact distributed all of this material globally is thought to have caused the extinction of the dino. No dino bones have ever been found above the KT, and no human remains have ever been found below it. It's not likely that human man ever existed with the dinosaur. Now back to the Bible. I believe that there is a God and a human creator. The bible however is somewhat suspect. There are at least 64 missing gospels. The latest revision is what the church thought people needed to know to be controlled circa 1600. There was no carbon dating then, no museums full of dino bones, and people were too worried about daily survival to ask a bunch of questions. It's a different world now and the Bible can't be tweaked to address these unanswered questions. When you push too hard with the questions you'll simply be told to take it on faith or burn in hell forever. Organised religion is devisive. It pits people and nations against one another. It prevents humanity from really knowing God and their place in the universe. And this is the way the satan wants it. Open your eyes and your minds. Every major religion has the same fundemental beliefs. The same ten commandments, the birth and resurrection, and God's return. Everything else is just "filler". How can Christian and Muslims believe that the other guy is going to hell for his beliefs when they basically believe in the same thing? Crazy.

Hehe, did you hear about the creationist museum? They have dinosaurs with saddles. SADDLES! Because dinosaurs and man existed together and obviously we rode them.
Tracing the genealogy of the Bible is how scholars come up with the Earth being ~6000 years old. In the Middle Ages, this was considered "science", and was accepted as the definitive age of the Earth. So much has changed since then (and since the Bible was written for that matter).
There are creatures referenced in the Bible which some say may refer to dinosaurs. I think it goes without saying that the dinosaurs were not killed, nor were all other species saved, in the great flood of Noah. Besides, that wouldn't have killed the sea-bound dinosaurs, or other "evil" fish. I guess it was just the land-bound creatures which deserved to die.
Evolution does happen. Whether you attribute this to nature or to God is not my concern, but species can and do change over time. It's fact - not a myth.
Edit: I wasn't serious when I said they existed together... I was being sarcastic about the message being sent by a dinosaur with a saddle on its back. It was pretty clear from the context of my post, so maybe you need to work on your reading comprehension. I'm not stupid, I'm not a lunatic, and I'm not a creationist (much less a young-earth one). And no, it wasn't just some random creationist that put the saddle there. It is an exhibit at the creationist museum.

so you have been reading Genesis and Job.
Evolution only means change. So; yes we are evolving everyday, though not as Darwin would put it from one to another, but as adapting within. And the term dinosaur means "LARGE LIZARD". And having over stated the obvious, is'nt there a large lizard currently living in Asia or where ever Komodo Dragon lives?
As stated in the Bible: "Noah took two of every KIND" not TYPE. As in 2 elephant, 2 feline, 2 K-9, 2 snake, 2 lizard, ... you get the point.
As far as dating everything, scientists will admit that carbon dating is inaccurate. Also, if using layers of strata as a measure layers will increase in thickness as time gets closer to our own time because of dust which is mostly dead shin cells both plant and animal.
History records several great catastrophes in many regions but only one is in all lore since that time. You guessed it the flood.
With that we have great glacial drift ( i.e. the Grand Canyon and Glacier National Park) and a global fossil record.
Theologians of Jewish and Christian beliefs state that the world was created in 6 G-d days and that each day represents 1000 years. For a total of 6,000 years from that point called Creation till G-d takes ownership from the time He rested, because He rested on the 7th day after creating mankind on day 6.
As far as your "mis quotation", no offense here. So, what's the problem? Words or Definitions?

As salaamu 'alaikym, my misinformed and uneducated friend.
No where in the Torah does it say that dinosaurs and humans lived together nor does it say that the dinosaurs drowned in the flood mentioned during the time of the Prophet Noah (salaahu alaihi wasalaam). If it says it in the translation you are reading then you have a very poor translation!
The Torah does not disagree with the evidence of evolution, in fact, considering when it was written, it is amazingly accurate in this regard.
What is also amazing that is that modern man has decided that he has the right and the ability to limit how Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala, can do what He chooses to do in saying that He could not do it in a certain way.
IN the Holy Qur'an, science and education is promoted with the understanding that all of our acquired knowledge is from Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala.
In many cultures, especially those associated with dessert regions, snakes are thought of as wise and cunning.
Ma'a salaam.

First of all before you attempt to quote from the Bible, make sure that you yourself have READ the Bible. Don't assume!
If you find the FACTS first-hand it makes your questions MUCH more knowledge based.
There is no indication that the dinosaurs were on the ARK, but there is MUCH evidence that the dinosaurs died rapid deaths, indicative of a huge E.L.E event, (such as a flood)
There is also evidence that man & dinosuars DID dwell during the same time period. (but man was not in any way like the historical "caveman")
As for serpents, there was one specifically cursed.

I don't know of the religious source you are referring to, so I can't answer you. The Bible never says dinosaurs were not on the ark, but in my opinion, I don't think men and dinosaurs could have existed at the same time.

First, I don't think you quite understand what information is in the Bible.
Second, I don't think you quite understand that when they call it the THEORY of evolution, that means it's not a proven fact.
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with evolution, it's just that your question is using pretty strong terms that really aren't warranted.
Clearly, you are not actually asking a question, but making a statement about how bad you feel the Bible is.
And no doubt, you will inspire a bunch of like-minded people to post comments that support your feelings.
I'll bet most of them don't know what the Bible says either.
