To give an intelligent answer we need to know what camera you have.

Is this an assignment to be done in-camera or in an editing program?

Gosh! I hope some of the earlier answers didn't confuse you as much as they confused me!

I'm assuming you want to duplicate the exact same image. Right? If not, you can do this with two different images too.

Here's how (I promise this is simple.):

Select All. Then Edit>Copy. Then open a NEW image. Since you have the copied image on the Clipboard, the new image will be exactly the same size. Change either the width or height of the new image so that it's exactly twice the size of the image you're copying. Then you can Anchor the image to one side or another by clicking the arrows you'll see in the box.

Select Paste. Your image should now be on the new one, and anchored to the position you selected.

Now hit Paste again and your second image will be added to the New image. It'll appear centered exactly on the new image. But all you have to do is use the Move Tool to drag it over so that it's beside the first one.

Of course, you can also flip one of the images so that they're mirroring each other. Or use Edit>Scale to reduce their size or Rotate them. You could also Desaturate one, so that one's in color and the other is B&W. Or click on the background and change its color.

Your final composition will be in three different layers: the background, image 1, and image 2.

There, you see? I said it was easy!

umm all you would have to do is expose half of the photo paper with the picture (while keeping the other half covered) once exposed flip your negative around, or use different negative with you on the opposite side. then cover the exposed side next so it doesn't get overexposed and expose the non exposed side with the image. you should end up with a picture with you on both sides.

its easy in photoshop. select your picture and open it in photoshop arie. press F7 to see layer document. your orginal picture is in background. you should drag back ground layer to create new copy layer in bottom of leyer document. then change new layer opacity to craet trancperenc layer. it helps u to see both layer and delete some area that u want to delete. after that turn up the opacity again. u have two layers same together.
