he is jesus father right?

How would you get Jesus' DNA? It's not as if we have his body or anything; and in any case, you can't get DNA from bones.

The thing is that it would be easy to reinterpret the bible to say that Joseph was the 'accidental' father while god was the 'substantive' father, much like the idea of the transubstantiation turning the 'accidents' of bread and wine into the 'substance' of body and blood. If god used Joseph to impregnate Mary, it is still possible to work around this to uphold the concept of an immaculate conception - as long as 'god's spirit inhabited Joseph' for Mary's first time.

This means that DNA testing could show Joseph the father of Jesus without affecting the 'validity' of the bible. This would neatly sweep aside your proving god by DNA argument.

I REALLY know how we can prove that God exists- and getting Jesus' DNA has nothing to do with it=
love as Jesus loved, don't get upset when people try and mock us- be Jesus to the world, so that they will want to know Him- and the biggest proof of all will be when Jesus returns- there will be no mistaking that- are you ready for that?

Your analysis is correct -- assuming that the story is true. But there is no reason to believe it, or to believe in any sort of god. Even if god were real, getting some DNA would be a neat trick.

Why would a Christian need science to prove God's existence?

"so how would one go about getting gods DNA"?

answer: have faith, ask for God's forgiveness, and be baptized. If your lucky, you will receive the Holy Spirit, and then you will possess God's spirit (and DNA)

You MAYBE could get His DNA if you could find Jesus' body. But, you can't, because Jesus is risen. He is up in heaven seated at the right hand of His Father. So, too bad. No DNA samples.

We don't need proof? You do. and guess what? If you can't believe now, with the proof all around you....you ain't' never going to believe...No proof would be good enough. You might worry about where you own DNA might wind up!

As a Christian, I do not feel the need to prove God. Are you looking for proof? If so, ask God to reveal himself to you? Just because you don't believe doesn't mean your not allowed to pray.

I don't need proof. I believe. I have faith.
Christians already believe, so this is inapplicable to them.
You are the one who wants proof.
I am sorry, but it is impossible to get any of either God's or Jesus's DNA.

God is spirit, not human, he does not have DNA.

John 4

24 God is a spirit; and they that adore him, must adore him in spirit and in truth.

Sorry your proof would not work :P
