usually the craving is because your magnesium is low, your carbohydrate intake is too high, you are not eating balanced meals and consuming too much sugar.
stay away from diet stuff, the aspartame plays a trick on your body and you produce excess insulin when really there is no sugar to process..... not good for you
get a calcium and magnesium supplement and start taking it. the calcium in milligrams should be double the amt as the magnesium. take one every day, make some changes in your diet, more fresh veggies than fruit and back off on the junk... it is empty calories and gives you a high for a short time then a low and more cravings.....make sure you are eating protein at every meal.....you will find that your cravings will diminish dramatically and once in a while sweet won't be such a bad thing.....

Eat fruit. And if you want candy, I just heard that the individually packaged Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are a great way to get a healthier protein boosting sweet candy snack. Just take one or two and put the bag away.
A sweet snack we had as kids was a celery stick spread with some cream cheese with a tiny bit of brown sugar mixed in. Then raisins on top, if you like the bugs on the log.
A handful of dried cherries and a tablespoon of chocolate chips is great for a sweet snack, too.

Craving sweets is often a reaction to unbalanced blood glucose levels (that's not saying you are diabetic). The best way to keep cravings in check is to eat a healthy diet. When you eat starchy foods, always have protein with them...examples: Baked potato with cheese or meat, bread with cheese or peanut butter...this will help keep your blood sugar level. When you do crave sweets, opt for foods lower on the glycemic index (yogurt instead of ice cream, frozen grapes are yummy). If you must have chocolate, I like to enjoy 1-4 hersheys kisses at bedtime.....they satisfy my chocolate craving and send me to dreamland happy! Good luck!

fruit is naturally sweet and might be enough to curb craving.
Also, there are tons of sugar-free products that taste sweet and have no sugar and low-calories. You can also get sugar-free drinks (like sparkeling juice) that is sugar free but still very sweet tasting.
Jello is pretty healthy, as are popsicles, frozen yogurt, and flavoured yogurt.
Having sweets every once in a while though IS healthy. As long as you combine artificial sweets (like candy) with mostly healthy foods, you will be fine. If you prefer natural sweets, dark chocolate is very rich in antioxidants and tastes yummy.

1. Many kinds of fruit are very sweet---watermelon, peaches, kiwi, raisins, etc.
2. Sugar-free pudding
3. Low cal ice cream
4. A small serving of whatever kind of treat you are craving will help to keep you satisfied, but not hurt you.

Dont cut yourself off cold turkey. Pick a few sweets you REALLY love, and keep them n a drawer. When you are really craving one, go ahead and indulge. Just make sure your portion size is small.
You can also start eating healthy sweet foods, like frozen grapes or 100% juice pops you can make yourself in the freezer.

I am a huge fan of berries with a little drizzle of chocolate syrup. It is high in fiber, practically zero fat and about 100 calories.
Sugar-free fudgecicles are really good and like 60 - 90 calories and so good.
Sugar-free popcicles are like 20 calories and kick a sweet cravings booty!
I also LOVE hostess 100 calorie cup cakes - they are just like the full fat ones but little and so yummy!

Freeze grapes!!! This is an old weight watchers trick and it really works. You have to eat them more slowly...and you can pretend that they are little popsicles.
Most fruits will fix a sweet craving... berries are the lowest calories and have the best flavor.

Fruit of 100 calorie packs are good. Also try eating some sweet cereal, it's much healthier than having candy.
