I wish more reputable breeders would let people no if they are doing it right - it's NOT profitable.
I have a great letter explaining to people if they are "part of the problem" and don't realize it. No idea where I could post it for you though
Oh - and you didn't even go into cross-breeding! There's a whole can of worms. It ticks me off to no end that not only are people doing it, they are ripping people off every time they sell them a "designer dog."
PEOPLE! The same dogs are at the shelter. You can't guarantee breeding in good traits or looks by crossing things like beagles and pugs! And "papers" don't mean squat. It doesn't mean it's breed standard - and yes that means dogs at petstore aren't worth the hundreds your paying. Research before throwing your money away

mutts are purely truly worth about $50 or in an attempt to cover their pictures and wormings. No such component as a "mini" goldendoodle" .. you are able to't assure the dimensions on mongrels.. you're actual risking your female's existence because there is the aptitude for the domestic dogs to finally end up more desirable than the mum and father, and they could nicely be too large for the female to whelp clearly. Doesnt be counted what human beings promote their mongrels for.. they actually at the prompt are not truly worth 1000's. What a rip off. Get the mum and father spayed and neutered once this clutter is weaned.. no reason to save making more desirable mongrels. there is not any scarcity of poodle mixes in shelters and rescues.

I am not a breeder, but i agree with judgerz, I had a nice long rant ready and then i saw the just kidding and was like yeeessss! And i think irresponsible breeders keep breeding for the money. A lot of people think who cares if the dog is healthy or not, im getting money for it. But I , myself, dont really know for sure.

YOu set there an complain about people lying but then say oh that's what I did asked a false question.
If it's so hard and so bad why don't you stop breeding.
Some people just want a nice pet quality dog.
I also knew a reputable chihuahua breeder that did show, did the test even had the vet come to her house every week. As I said she showed but that very seldom produced the best. Very few were show quality.
Tehn there's the others who put the restricted papers so you cant continue the breeding so people will do what they want.
And again how did w they end up with so many purebreds they were all mixes or as they are now called designer dogs.

i am not a breeder
but people aren't going to stop breeding just because someone over the internet tells them too
you can give them all the facts and figures and your own two cence but 99.999% of people who breed their dogs (bad breeders) that come on here arent willing to change their mind.they dont care what you think they are just looking for validation nothing else. They feel entitled to breed their dogs and they feel noone has the right to tell them what to do
ill be surprised if any back yard breeder actually answers this question.

So this is for those people. . .what makes you want to keep breeding your dog irresponsibly *after* we tell you that it is a bad idea and you are creating dogs that we keep having to fix in our breed and take the mistakes YOU made out. Why?
Well firstly why would they listen to "WE" as you state. Who are "WE" I have no idea maybe you are a 10 year old argumentive kid for all I know. And with all your knowledge how does the last half of your sentence make sense Do you breed mongrels to better your breed? How are we putting mistakes into your dogs by breeding. Get back to me on that. Stop labeling people some people do it for other reasons than money you people are just trying to justify a certain group of people doing it. God created us all equall.

... and just to add... most "real" breeders have in their contract that you will either spay/neuter the dog, or that you will not stud them our, or allow the females to get pregnant.
Breeding dogs is not a profitable business. You really need to think about the other "behind the scenes" costs. Food, check-up's, the puppies first shots, the time it takes for the breeder to handle the pup's so that they are used to being held.

Because people don't want to admit they are wrong. It's sad really because to err is human and people still act like they are perfect.
