I've seen them walk in alone. I've also seen them walk in escorted by a groomsman. The wedding march has two sections to it. USUALLY, the bridesmaids walk in to the first part. The second part is what is traditionally known as the bridal march, that has the fanfare announcing her entrance. All of this is really a matter of preference of the bride and groom, though.

They normally walkin un escorted, since the groomsmen are suppose to be at the alter with the groom. Only the ushers walk the mother of the groom&mother of the bride, some times if the grandmothers are to be included then they also walk in with the ushers, but normally only the grooms mother & bride's mother are walked in escorted.

Most often, the groom and groomsmen are waiting at the front of the church, and the bridesmaids walk up the aisle one by one.
However, we had our attendants walk in as couples, and my husband and I entered together.
We used the same processional music for everyone walking up the aisle, in our case, a hymn to Mary.

It depends on where your having it and what you like the best and some times religion plays a factor. At your dress rehearsal try it both ways and see which one you like the best?
I personal an having it both ways. (Out door wedding on beach.) Parents and grandparent will come from reception hall. My bridesmaids will be coming from the reception hall down a path way. My grooms men will be coming down a 35 stairs and the bottom they will meet up and then walk down 4 steps and across the sand walk way to the arch way. My ring bear and flower girl will be coming down together from the stairs ( bare foot) and then I will come down from the stair way as well.
Just remember any way you do it will look wonderful. Best wishes and good luck in planning.

They can come in either alone or escorted.
Generally the music is up to you.
Pachabeli, Cannon in D Minor is a beautiful piece. Look for wedding music CD's (you can probably sample the music on line) and find something you like.
Best of luck and Congrats!

escorted after the maid of Honer, to music of your choice
All weddings I've photographed the maid of honer is excorted by the best man, They walk the brides maids/ and maid of honer to their spot then go to the grooms side. The parents are escorted to thier seats before the bridesmaids are there
