I've done something really bad, and I don't want to go to Hell. Can you tell me which God is the real God of the thousands of different religions out there? I need to pray to him so I can get into heaven, thanks! People say you're considered a sinner if you believe in anything but the right God; everyone claims their God is the real one, so I don't want to get it wrong!

Sarcasm was intended, thank you for the few that saw it! This was amusing, and enlightening in a way. Many of you seem to reinforce the ways of modern religions - adapt an answer that would fit any situation and any problem. You tell me to pray to any God because there is only one true God....isn't this contradicting to your (religion's) beliefs? Or has this been addapted into your religion as well to provide an answer for everything?

This is exactly what I hoped to see, read it carefully and think for yourself, there are so many things that can be said about this sort of belief. This is exactly what your church wants, unwaiving belief no matter what. You make a good case AGAINST religion, reread and think!

I am a Catholic. I believe in God. With a capitol G. The religions with the many gods use an undercase g. Most religions believe in the same God, just believe different things about him.

Technically from what you're asking, there is no "right" or "wrong" god, its which religion do you feel suits you. People are not in religions because someone else told them to, but because they feel those guidelines and higher entities is what makes their life living worthy. Can't answer which god is the real one, its really yoru faith that makes whichever god your own god. Doing something along the lines of having someone tell you to believe in a God w/o your full belief in it too, it'll kinda be a bigger sin no? Praying to someone you dont fully believe in, well thats probably worse than whatever it was you did.

Jesus forgave murders and prostitutes even the roman soldier's he asked his father to forgive them even though they tortured him everyone is a sinner we are all forgivin that is why Christ suffered for us I'm Catholic by the way and the church isn't abusive anymore ever since john Paul the first and second just pray to God and ask him to forgive you for what ever you did he will the reason we hum mans have a hard time forgiving people is because of Adam and eve sure I'm christian and I'm against things like gay marriage but i still believe they will go to heaven the only people that go to hell are Jews or people that have not been told about God i think also here's a passage from the bible ''For God loved the world so much that he sent his only begotten son that who ever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life'' so all christian religions are the same really but the ones that don't really match the bible are church of Ireland and England and Jehovah witness and Mormon since they don't believe in forgiveness of sins or believe in dumb things like gay marriage so don't worry Catholic and Orthodox where the first Christians religions really it was just the Church but the Catholic religion used to be abusive so their the earliest info about what Christ thought oh and Lutheran since martin Luther was a Catholic monk who noticed the pope said a lot of things that went against what Christ thought

We all pray to the same Supreme being! Sin is defined from an old English word that means "of the mark" Being sorry means that you are not going to hell. There is no such place despite organised religion scaring people. Assuming that God is all merciful, why would He create fallable humans and then get angry and sent us to torture for all eternity. We punish ourselve by not obeying God's laws. Try to make amends and forgive youself for being human. We all err!

You can't just pray to God.
You have to believe Him with all your heart, mind, and soul.
I know it is confusing with all these people saying this is god, no this is god.
You have to know wich one is God.
Jesus died on the cross for you so that you can be seen blamless infront of God.
There are three God's in the trinity, but only one God.
There is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Do you have any background religion?
The real God is God.
He died the most painful death for us.
And want to know what we killed Him, yet He died for us.
I love God so much that I will rambel on and on about this so stay with me.
There was a man named Barnabis he was being judged with Jesus for sin.
But if you know this God never ever sinned in His life.
As the crowd of popele were asked by Pontous Pilot which one would they want to be crusified.
They all shouted "Jesus Jesus!"
Pontous Pilot said this man has done no sin.
They thought He was a blastfame for sying that He was God, and for casting out demonds.
The croud shoted "crusify Him, crusify Him".
Pontous Pilot knowing God did nothing wrong didn't want the whole city to turn on Him so He said that He would crusify Jesus.
So He washed His hands to show that He was blamless of crusifying Him.
But God dosn't look at your hands, He looks at your heart.
So we crusified Jesus we took Him and nailed Him to a cross, then we beat Him.
The last words from Jesus were...... ''My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?''
They buried Him in the tomb.
And in the third day He rose again from the dead.
Before He was taken top be crusified He had twelve Desiples.
Mathew, Mark, Luke, John, Simon Peter, James, Paul (who has the most fastenating background which I will get into later), Stephen, Andrew, Pillip,Thomas, Judas Iscariot.
As I was saying Paul's name was Saul.
He was a Chrisitan persicuter.
Untill God blinded Him and said "Saul, Saul, why are you persicuting me?"
For ten days Paul fasted.
His name was changed to Paul and He didn't persicute Christians, but preaches as a Christain.
AMAZING!
But before Gid was being judged He was in th garden if Gesemanie praying to His father.
And them Thomas one of the twelve desiples betryed Him.
He called the ''police'' of that time.
He betryed Him with a kiss.
God died and came back to them and Thomas said if you are not a ghost let me see the holes in your hands where the nail were.
They were there and Thomas was scared.
He killed Jesus, but he came back.
Then He rose on a cloud to heaven.
If you believe all this repent and be baptized,\.
And for the rest of your life bellieve that God died on the cross for you.
He will forgive you.
I will pray for you.
And remember that just beacuse you pray you will not just be able to be saved you have to put all your faith in GOd.

There is one true God, the one that the Holy Bible is talking about.
This is a lot, but make sure to read it to the end.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
As you can see, we are destined to be in hell for our sin, but if we believe that Jesus died for us on the cross, ask Him into our heart and serve and worship Him,and ask God to forgive our sins, then God washes those sins away as if they never happened and we will have eternal life with Him and other belivers in heaven.
Find a good Bible teaching church, read the Holy Bible because that's our guide for life.

There is no right or wrong god or goddess, and some religions may not believe in hell and/or heaven. Just because some people consider you a sinner doesn't mean you have to agree with them. Believe in what you want, not what others tell you to believe.

When people are talking about their God. Chances are all the other religeons are speaking about the same God. The God that created all the heavens and the earth. Pray and ask his forgivness. But whatever you did, I am sure he will forgive you if you truly feel sorrow from the bottom of your heart.

I believe that there is only one God. Every religion has a different interpretation of him/her. But there's only one No Matter what you call him. So pray as you will to him because he has many names the Alpha the Omega. the Beginning and The End. Abba Father. Of Most High. Jehovah, Yahweh, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Elohim. Christ, Immanuel, Yeshua, Allah. Whatever you want to call him, he is only one. And it is through him that you will find help, guidance and comfort. So feel free to pray, your prayer will find him.
