This is a SCAM. Check out the below link for confirmation of various lottery scams, including the famous Yahoo/MSN lottery scams and how to report them.

Unscrupulous thieves have sent you this email and they are trying to part you from your hard earned cash. They will often ask you to call a premium rate number and keep you holding on whilst you rack up a huge phone bill. They are then paid a large proportion of this phone bill. They may ask you to divulge personal information about yourself or ask for your bank or credit card details. Do not divulge any such information under any circumstances. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these types of emails. Just remember the thieves who send them are very clever and extremely convincing. I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace, hopefully along with the thieving scumbags who send them.

No, it's all a scam. there is no such thing as a Yahoo lottery, nor is there a Microsoft lottery. All these things are scams for people who want to lose money.

Dear Lucky Winner,

Congratulations!!!!

We are pleased to inform you of the result of the just concluded draws held on the{12th Of october, 2007} by Yahoo/MSN in conjunction with Myway.com and Ipod Worldwide Promotion. Your email was among the 20 Lucky winners who won £1,000,000.00{One Million Great Britain Pounds} each in the Yahoo/MSN{Microsoft} 2007 Online Promo. This draw is being organized to create and improve a larger awareness record for internet users worldwide.

What the hell is a "larger awareness record"? I did not know my awareness record was not large enough. Does size matter?

No on both parts...it is a fraud where unsavory individuals use bogus names that are close to real, famous corporate names. The Bogus Yahoo has been around at least since the summer.
