To be honest I'm not sure what direction your question is actually taking, but I do think that having so much involvement in Africa then the catholic church needs to change its views on contraception. I understand what their reasoning is for their 'ban' on condoms, but they have to realise that they are lifesavers, AIDS could wipe out a whole continent because of their lack of education to stop the spread of this disease, and who will the catholic church preach to then?

i'm Catholic and have faith interior the Catholic church etc etc, although, the place did they extremely dig this pope up from.... 'Pope says condoms are no longer the answer to Aids - they make it worse' Errrm, no, a million/2 the reason Aids remains a undertaking in this international is using the fact the vatican says no to condoms, so I completely disagree with him. i'm confident if all of us lived interior the popes sixteenth century idealist international the place all of us married at sixteen and basically ever had intercourse for the sake of professional-creation and there replaced into no such issues as affairs then no there does no longer be a place for condoms! yet i think of the Pope desires awaken its the twenty first century! i might plenty quite somebody used condoms, prevented ailment and replaced into by no potential put in the placement the place they might might desire to even evaluate abortion... professional and cons and all that! i'm going to get off my cleansing soap container now lol

You would think so. But the people in Africa have different cultural values than we do. Check out the site below, I've got it where it will open up to a question similar to the one you asked here. But the entire site is very informative as to why Africa is having the AIDS and HIV problems it has. It's never that simple to "fix" a country. Passing out condoms won't help them at all. (Read the site and it will explain why.)

There are a lot of people with this disease all over the world where condoms are freely available but people choose still to have unprotected sex.I suppose the Catholic religion is to blame for this too?Get a life you moron!

i dont think that they approve of condoms, but there are condoms in Africa is just that they dont use it.
Also unprotected sex is not the only reason Aids is so much in Africa, it is because most of the Africans are not well educated on how Aids can transfer from one person to the other so their not very careful.

Catholics don't believe in birth control. Only in natural family planning which is not having sex when a woman is ovulating. This is the only form of birth control they believe in. Some (not all) believe that using a condom is like saying "Hey, i want you but not all of you." I'd offer more explanation but I'm Christian, not Catholic.

that would make to much sense, catholics are weird when it comes to sex, they view it as a way to reproduce only, that however never stops them from enjoying it and avoiding pregnancy themselves, I think Africa would be helped by us so much more if we donated condoms to them instead of food, this may sound bad but africas problem is nothing more than a human infestation, they are not taking procreation seriously, we must help them in that aspect if we want to have an effect.

their was a great campaign that worked (they found out years later due to the lengthof time it takes for accurite data in this area) of mongamy and self restraint with use of condoms but the big players ie the christions and their nemesi the liberal do what you want to with protection stoped it as it was taking money away from them

Are you seriously blaming AIDS deaths in Africa on Catholics because Catholics don't approve of birth control??
Wow. That is ridiculous.
