sisterofdaughter, not all mormons believe in polygamy, some do, it used to be official doctrine for the entire church for the main denomination of mormonism.

In general blackbird, and I mean the main branch of the Mormons, not other Mormon denominations.

spiritroaming: "Nope. I don't think anyone can claim to be better than another."

You hypocrite, is that why you called me a false prophet and harassed me? You surely must be one of those "wise in your own eyes" God mentioned in proverbs. I thought I blocked you already.

blessed1, if I'm in violation, why are you being a hypocrite and answering? Why don't you learn what God's laws are, and make it so you can be contacted, instead of being a hit and run hypocrite.

Where does the Bible say that God favors religions Lincoln? It does say however:

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." - James 1:27

liddabet: Well - "they are better than folks who make huge generalizations about people based on their religions - that's for sure!!"

"My object in going to inquire of the Lord was to know which of all the sects was right? that I might know which to join. No sooner therefore did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personage who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right, (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong,) and which I should join.

I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong, and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in His sight; that those professors were all corrupt, 'they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me; they teach for doctrine the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.' He again forbade me to join with any of them" - Joseph Smith

NO.

It does not matter what religion one is. There can be Mormons, Catholics, Jehovah's Witnesses, Atheists, Wiccans, etc... that are down-to-earth good people.

But there can also be the complete opposite. People are not perfect, they are individuals, so to generalize a them as a group is wrong. I have met some wonderful people who call themselves Atheists and some not so wonderful, supposed Latter-day Saints.

There are good and bad in all religions and beliefs. Not any that are better or worse. Just my humble opinion.

I don't think anyone is any better because of what they believe. We may disagree on what we believe, but that doesn't mean anyone is better because they believe what they believe.

I know people of all sorts of different faiths. There are good ones and bad ones in any religion. Judging a whole group of people based on a few is wrong.

I'm LDS, and I don't think I'm better then my neighbor who is baptist, or my other neighbor who is methodist. They are very nice people, and we get along great!!! I don't look down on them because they aren't LDS. They are what they believe is right for them, who am I to say they are wrong?

I am Mormon, but I don't think it's right to say that one group is better than another. God loves all His children equally.

We are all equal in the sight of God. It's just that some denominations have members who think they're more equal than others!

I'm a Mormon, by the way!

We still throw better parties. The Catholics are a close second on that though.
