With four older sisters, all married, and all have faced the same dilema. What they did (and they came up with this collectively) is made healthy meals, that the men didn't know where healthy. Most of the used weight watchers recipe book, which I have found offers really good substitutes for fatty and fried foods, that you can't really tell the difference. Like using low fat mayo and bread crumbs on chicken to bake in over, comes out like fried chicken, just healthy version of it. They did this for months, never letting on that what they were eating were low fat, and healthy. Finally told them in the end, and they still stick with the new lifestyle, since they can't use the excuse that they don't like it anymore. Try weight watchers or any other healthy cooking alternative recipe book. As far as using a cup...good luck, they still haven't broken them of that habit, although they have tried.

Well...slipping food to him could work sometimes, but the idea is that you want to get him to make the right choices. Some suggestions...
You should work at becoming a good cook...I mean really good. Start by replacing all the "crap" (pardon my french) in your pantry/fridge with good stuff... i.e., fresh garlic, whole wheat pasta, whole grain cereal, fresh onions, mushrooms, whole olives, organic raisins...
Then, get good really good at making healthy versions of their favorites...
The mac and cheese...whole wheat pasta, organic cheese, use less butter, or a substitute... then...add something different, that makes it really tasty, like soy ricotta and pine nuts. Meat- get lean cuts of organic meat and pan fry it with fresh onions and low sodium organic soy sauce. Serve that with a side of cooked mixed veggies (organic with organic butter).
Sounds tasty right! Start by doing that...then, teach your son how to cook. Let him in the kitchen and show him how to make tasty, simple meals.
Your husband may be a tough nut to crack, but I don't think he'll be able to resist your son's culinary efforts.
How to use a cup- that's going to have to go like negotiating a peace treaty...you gotta figure out what he needs/wants from you (if you get my drift) and then make sure you don't give it until he gives you what you want.

You didn't mention rice and beans, will he eat those? Like red beans and rice, black beans and rice, and that can be stuffed in a flour tortilla too to make an enchilada.
I can't help with the cup thing, my hubby has the opposite problem. He'll get a glass, have a glass of milk, then get a new clean glass for his next glass of milk! ACK!

You can't change someone else's behavior, especially when it comes to food. Protect yourself & your son by obtaining a life insurance policy that will enable you to live comfortably in the event your husband's bad eating habits lead him to an early grave. Juice is not a good substitute for fresh fruit and vegetables.

Or in case you do, give up smoking, or another vice. Make it extra relaxing. adult adult males do unlike substitute. If he a lot up the shelves with junk nutrients, why not coach him a lesson and consume it your self, or only provide it away? particular, he has the stunning to kill himself this way, yet you have the stunning to save him. according to hazard choose for the loopy determination, and ruin the oven, and refrigerator. it is in all likelihood elementary sufficient only to unplug them, he's in all likelihood not likely to word. Get him ingesting fit variations of what he does already. consume at a eating table, not in front of a television, easily he will consume much less. pass out someplace effective for dinner, and he will think of two times earlier allotting for that extra element (surprisingly in case you order the high priced wine!). ingesting for the time of a table, he might grow to be self unsleeping and consume slower. save him talking as he eats, he will experience finished swifter, without ingesting as plenty. Just tell him that you care about him very much, and that if he doesn't develop some better eating habits you're worried that your son may imitate him, and that more money will be wasted.
As for the cup...sorry, you're on your own.

Only cook healthy food, and only buy healthy food for the house. Put out healthy snacks on the table so he'll munch on those instead of doritoes.
