The time keeping of the old days wasn't as, shall we say, precise as it is today. They messed up the calander time and again, and lost a little over 6 years, by best estimates. The year 2000 (Millenium, oh no!) actually happened in what we considered 1994. It passed with pretty much nothing World Ending (few terrorist attacks, which admitadly DID suck, but nothing majorly bad) happpening. The "End Times" people have latched onto 2012 as the next time "it's all going to end, no for real this time", based on a Mayan calander prediction.

Sorry guys, what ancient civilizations would have considered 2012 happend a little over a year ago.

So...When's the next "for real this time" End Times gonna be?

I heard the world will end in 2034 by an asteroid striking earth. I can't recall the name of the asteroid but it circled earth in 2004, I believe.

I heard its coming back in 2000twenty something and if it gets sucked into a hole through gravitational force then it will collide with Earth in 2034 destorying the human race.

I took astronomy, and according to my text book, the world is going to end billions of years from now, when the sun gets so large and hot it explodes (what's that called?! And I passed astronomy with a B!!!) destroying all living species.

I'm not sure how or when the world is going to end. If it WAS to happen in 2000- twenty or thirty something, I will only be in my early 50's!

numerous issues. yet no longer the delivery of any messianic discern. We do have some business enterprise dates around that component. as an occasion, Herod the great ruled Judea as a Roman puppet king till 4 BCE. Then the dominion grow to be broken up and split between his sons. the section consisting of Jerusalem and Bethlehem grow to be ruled via Herod Archelaus. He wa no longer very sturdy king, and the Romans kicked him out ten years later in 6 CE, appointed a governor - Coponius who had Quirinius take a census. So, in accordance to the bible Joseph and Mary had to bypass the Bethlehem for the census, and so Jesus would must be born after 6 CE. So, certainly no longer around a million CE. yet wait, there is extra! in accordance to the bible the clever men stopped with Herod the great, and he ordered all babies around Bethlehem massacred. So Jesus had to be born previously 4 BCE. So certainly no longer around a million CE. So right this is the proclaimed miracle of Jesus' delivery. It had to be the two previously 4 BCE and after 6 CE. Now this is a miracle and a nil.5. (Or ought to or no longer it rather is that it rather is only all delusion? Nah, being born ten years previously/when you have been born is plenty extra possibly)

I predict that the world is going to end when people stop trying to find out when the world will end. I mean really who cares? So the world ends probably for the better anyways all us humans do is ruin everything.

I don't believe people can say when the worl is going to end.
It's only god that knows, yes of couse, I can also say that tomorrow there is going to be a big explosion in the USA and it's going to kill all the citizens that live there, or perhaps I could also say that next week the queen is going to die or the world is going to end.
It's only god that knows when it's going to end, he has the power to make people and he will have the power to decide when everyone of us is going to die, just like he made the world and ONLY him knows how to end it.
People can say whatever they want, and whenever they want, but that doesn't mean it's going to happen. You can believe in what the people say and believe that the world will end in 2012, or believe in God, and live your life till he puts an end to it.

You do know that the Mayans don't use the Gregorian calander(like 2012) it's like a bunch of numbers that they specifically used...

So no...it didn't happen.

The Mayan calendar has never predicted the "end of the world," it has always predicted the beginning of a new era. The "end of the world," is completely made up.

You can't live in any other moment than this one. Enjoy it to its fullest. It's sad that some are actually looking forward to such a macabre event as the world "ending" ...whatever that even means.

The world already ended? I guess I must not have noticed.

According to Isaac Newton's analysis of the Bible, the next end times will not be until at least 2060.
