According to wedding websites, up to 3 mos. is acceptable, but not preferable. Ideally thank you notes should be sent within 2 wks after returning from the honeymoon.

Wedding present thank you etiquette?
How long do the bride and groom have to send out thank you's? I attended a wedding over 2 months ago and gave a gift and haven't recieved a thank you. Is this weird?

It is usually best to bring it to the reception with you...there is usually someone prepared to accept the gifts and keep them somewhere safe. If you know the person well enough you could always give it to them before the day of the wedding, but if not, go with the reception. Its ok to get something off of the online registrered gifts. Some couples find it fun as it will be unexpected. The registered gifts are just so they dont get 5 toasters! If it isnt on their list though, it should be a little bit unique so hopefully there wont be any repeats, hope this helps!

The average bride and groom seem to take 2 to 3 months. The fastest I ever got was 2 weeks. The bride wrote them on the honeymoon. The longest I've ever waited was 10 months.

The bride and groom have two weeks to send out thank you's for gifts received before the wedding itself. They have one month for gifts received at the wedding.

These days a lot of brides and grooms don't bother, which is really sad.
The proper etiquette is that the thank you note should be written and received within three months of being given the gift.

It's generally 2-3 weeks after the shower, and 1-2 months after the wedding, especially if they went on a honeymoon.

Two months isn't too bad. There are a ton of things a newly married couple has to do when they first get married (go on honeymoon, pay vendors, pick photographs, get living situation settled, kids). They'll get to it, eventually, they just need people to cut them some slack.

Ummm. I would give them a months grace for their honeymoon and settling in period then I would we waiting on a thank you. If you havent got one after two months, I wouldnt think you will be getting one. Rude? Yes! But seems to be happening more and more.

It is not too unusual but you should have received it already.
I feel anything over 3 months is poor etiquette. They should be done as soon as possible.
