God gave us a set of rules to live by called the "Ten Commandments", which he wants us to follow. This is our main path into heaven. How well we can follow His rules. God also gave his life that we may have eternal salvation. He and He alone is the judge and jury.

I don't see what God judging us has to do with whether Christians can tell us what will or won't get us into heaven.

I mean only a jury can convict a criminal, but anybody can crack open a law code and discover what will get them sent to prison.

If the Bible is God's revelation to mankind, than anybody, including a Christian, can read it and discover what the basis of God's judgment will be.

Christians cannot tell you themselves what will get you or not get you into heaven. They only tell you what God's word, the Bible, says.
They cannot say to you "No, you are not going to heaven because...." Only God can decide that, yes?
They can, however, tell you many a things out of the Bible, that do tell you what can get you into heaven.

You're right, only God can and WILL judge us. And you don't need Christians to tell you what pleases and displeases God- you just need His Word, the Holy Bible. Read and see for yourself!

The Bible(God's Word) tells us! Not Christians, we should just pass it a long.

It says so in the bible. God will judge what is in your heart and soul. If you have lived a sinful life without ever seeking forgiveness from not only God but those you have sinned against, you will be judged according to your sins and your deeds. It all goes to which path you choose, the path to God or the path away from God. Your choice, God forces no one to walk His path

Um, could be because the Word of God clearly defines the covenant of the New Testament?

Just a thought...

GREAT question. The bible says that only God can judge. So why all the Christians running around trying to tell and force others what to do and judging others for who they are?

I don't know what Christians you have been talking to. But Jesus is supposed to be my source, and what he said is recorded in the Bible.

This is what he said, you can do with it what you want:
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. (John 3)

the scriptures tell us how to live. if we dont follow that then we cannot enter the kingdom. thats not just christianity that tell each other how to live its in all religions.
the scriptures say we are to be the salt of the earth. this means living upright- the wicked will see the righteous and judge themselves and know they are wicked if we are righteous.
