i really really dont get on with my parents.the only times we are getting on is when we're just not talking at all. it's just ridiculous. I have recently missed the bus home a few times after going to town after school, meaning that my parents have to come and collect me from the bus stop a bit later, i have also not been doing that well in school, mainly beacuse i have been focussing on my social life and my friends. I'm not particularly popular, but im not a loser. I do do my homework etc. ut i do also have friends and try to see them at least every friday after school in town. My parents were really mad with me today when i missed the bus again and lied about why i had missed it - which they found out about. I know I'm not doing well in school, but i dont care to be honest. The problem is that they do. I'm just fed up with it all. I love my friends and they are the most important things in the world to me right now, I love my time at school beacuse of them, i just hate home so much

I didn't get along with my parents until I was 20 and we still have our disagreements. Thats just the way adolescence is, you want to be your own person and they desperately miss the sweet-tempered kid you used to be.

Try to be courteous to them. Just remember that they're constantly worried about you and what you're doing. Try inviting the friends that you hang out with the most to some kind of family activity. Encourage your friends to be friendly with your parents. If you can share some lively gossip with your mom, she'll feel more "in the loop" and probably won't harass you so much when you go off to hang out with them. This works with the most overbearing parents.

Dont be mad at your parents. What would YOU do if YOU were the parent and your child was failing school because she spent more time on her social life than learning?Would you rather her be intelligent or popular and dumb as a bag of hammers, and not be able to work for more than minimum wage?
Would you want her to go to town instead of ride the bus home putting herself in danger? Then lied about why she missed the bus?
If I were your parents i'd blister your hine end and take you to school and pick you up.Will your friends pay all your bills when you flunk out of school and support you the rest of your life?
I dont think so honey.

It sounds like your parents have a good reason to be upset with you. Even though they seem mean, they really just want what is best for you. Getting bad grades and not being responsible does not make your situation any better. The more responsible you are, the more privileges you will have growing up. To be treated like an adult, you must act like one.

my child......friends come and go...family is forever...
and it all starts with respect for them!
Your life will be totally different if you could see this Now!
Grades will improve...family life will improve...and your future will be better.
Honesty is the best policy.....
God says to "Honor thy Father and Mother"..
you may not be a loser now...but it is coming and you can see it yourself...look at your grades...next it will be your morals.
Do yourself and your parents a big favor...think of your future and them first...then friends..then you will see how "loyal" your friends really are and which ones are truly your friends.
God bless and please change your attitude before it's too late....
