The reasonable action is what the liberal churches have done for quite some time now: if you can't lick 'em [er, sorry . . .] join 'em. That is, invite them to join your church and add their own perspective to the congregation. The experiment has worked well where it's been tried. In fact, I figure the church that invites homosexuals to join comes out way ahead: they have fewer children, more time to donate, and probably more money to donate as well. And your rummage sales will go WAY up in class!
P.S. For those who have the idea gays cannot reproduce: visualize a turkey baster!

From what I can tell, this forum is a free, voluntary, global, anonymous and very democratic form of entertainment, and I like it. It seems to me that anybody who is writing about topics on this venue and has the goal of converting people to believing other than what they presently believe has some kind of delusions of grandeur. I believe in God and love Jesus, but I have no idea if I quality as a moderate Christian or whatever. However, I do think it is a bit naive to think that any of us, moderate Christians or otherwise, has the capacity to change the minds of other people about such things as abortion, gay marriage or anything else, particularly in those areas where people have very strong viewpoints. I'd also like to see all of us treat each other with greater love, compassion and understanding, but, bottom line, if we want to see changes in the world, the best place to start is with ourselves. Best wishes to you!

I fully expect to see the day when homosexual marriage will be legal across the country. That does not mean that I have to personally approve. There are several things that I must live by, and still I can refuse to live with them in my home.
In rebuttal to some of the other responders, sure it has been around longer than Christianity, so has murder, disease, poverty, war and a host of other things. That does not make them accepted, or moral.
Christianity will not die a "natural" death. When the Christians are gone, you can start counting down to the end of life as we know it, and the judgement day.

Unfortunately, it will be a long time to NEVER before the majority of the religion accepts homosexuality.
They are already taking action, but unfortunately, it's the wrong one.
I do find it humorous that they ignore the fact that homosexuality has been around longer than Christianity...
Guarantee you if you had looked up a T-rex's skirt...you'd have found a "family" member. :)

While you're waiting for intelligent responses, here's a little something to pass the time. Did God make all of us in his image, or did 10% of his creations fail inspection?

LOL!!!! Homosexuality has been around since before recorded history. Christians and others have, for the reasons you mention, have tried EVERYTHING they can to stop it...and the gay community has only gotten stronger. Wow, talk about trying to push a boulder uphill!
They will never stop people from being gay. Ever. And they can't STAND that they can't control it. Christians want and need to control everything for reasons of power. And this one is slipping away.

Hate to point out the obvious but if there is in fact a gay gene then homosexuality will by definition be naturally selected out by not reproducing.
