Someone from R&S emailed me privately, questioned my qualifications and then got mean and nasty with me about my comments and postings in R&S.
Has this ever happened to anyone else in here before? Or am I being singled out because I am Wiccan?

Hestia: No this was a girl or women. She was insisting to know my qualifications to answer Wiccan questions. Second email I got kind of mean with her as she was really ticking me off. I don't usually get that way, but she was really nasty and I allowed myself to be baited. Bad on my part...I should know better. But even I lose my temper occasionally.

I got hate mail from our favorite "Christian" troll. It was pretty funny, actually. He called me a "moron." There was more, but I'd prefer not to repeat it. So, I told him what Jesus had to say about calling others names. He didn't respond.
However, while I was typing my response to him, he sent me a second email, in which he called me a "hypocrite" and said I'm not a "true Christian."
*Rolls eyes* Whatever.
No, it's not just because you're Wiccan. Some people are just hateful. I've also gotten hate mail from atheists, and from Muslims, and I had a bad conversation with a Wiccan from this site. There was no excuse for her behavior. She was VERY snotty.
Don't take it too hard.

Only once from an R&S posting. I got into a tangle with what I think was a Nation of Islam member angry because I, as a black woman, have no problem with interracial relationships.
I've gotten what I would describe as a "hateful" message from a posting outside R&S after saying that a comment about my university's sports rival was *way* over the line. The message was actually aimed at the rival school, not me, but contained references to the Virginia Tech shooting and what he thought should happen to students at that school . . . I'll let you fill in the blanks.

Outside of R&S? Do you mean someone has your PRIVATE email that is not posted on Yahoo!?
If that is true, I would be a little concerned. Even some of the uglier hatemail is just hot air as long as no one has any way of tracking us down in real life.
Always be careful not to include any personal details on a public forum that could be used by a wacko.

I havent gotten any but I would be kinda proud that I got some. I made somebody sooo mad that they had to come back and threaten me! HA!!
Its not just because your Wiccan, it does happen to alot of people. Many just cant wrap there minds around the fact that people beleve differently than they do.

Dear Heart! Admire the E--Mailer...That opinion, wrong or right was to your face...Yahoo encourages members to anonymously make allegations, with out detail that one cannot address one to one...Bit of a GOD complex actually!
But in all honesty on my part...They do have that authority...
We avail ourselves of this "free" service...Wait! An Epiphany ( sp) Why cannot WE, as the target audience, contact the advertisers and protest while Yahoo hides behind "associates" and is currently delivering an inferior product.

i've got only gotten nasty emails from trolls, yet a Christian as quickly as informed me in an answer that i could no longer be a "genuine" Christian. (a minimum of, the guy provided themselves as Christian, who's familiar with what a number of those human beings rather are?) perchance you should take a short destroy, Birdy. a number of human beings, atheist and Christian alike, have been conversing approximately leaving. i think of all human beings is cranky 'reason it rather is the top of wintry climate. i wish you do no longer bypass away for sturdy.

I get hate mail all the time. It doesn't surprise me anymore. I get surprised when I actually get nice emails from Christians. The lady I was emailing last night didn't try to preach at me about hellfire, she just said that she hoped some day I would be able to have faith in God and know that he loved me. Why can't all Christians be like this?

No, the ones that take the time to write me are polite, even when they disagree. I have been called all sorts of things on the forum.. I really hope it isn't because you are Wiccan! There are just some really odd people out there

Naw, you're not being singled out.. I'm a non-wiccan witch and someone actually mistook me for both a male and a muslim, and I got spammed with hate-email from this person. If we pagans ever thought we had it bad, you should see what the poor muslims on here have to endure.

I have kept my email address private. But I did unblock it once and I got a nasty gram for someone in cats about an answer from three months earlier, those people really need to lighten up.
