It is an old wives tale that if you eat more you have worms. He is probably going through a growth spurt, some boys will eat everything for a few days then not much for a few, this is perfectly normal and natural.

This is going to sound disgusting but when you have kids it has to be done! When he needs a poo you are going to have to inspect it. Threadworms are like little white threads that you can see wriggling in the poo. If you cant see any on the outside, try and open it up and see if there are any inside. They come out at night (about 11pm and lay eggs on the anus, this is when they cause you to scratch. Ask him if his bottom is itchy when he is in bed, chances are he will say no as kids probably don't notice when they are sleeping but it can wake them up. Checking the poo is the best bet. Buy Pripsem tablets at the chemist for about £4. He chews one tablet and the worms are gone in two days tops. Another tablet is to be taken 14 days later if they are still about. Hygiene is they key though, make sure the whole family take a tablet and wash hands before and after eating and when using toilet.

Is he itching his botty? Thats a sure sign - and check his stools (horrid I know) and look for nasty little white things.
He could well just be having a super growing spurt too!!

you would know if he had worms. you can see them in the poo. you should end the meal and then distract him from getting more food. then he will learn he cant have all his own way. he knows you are giving in to him and he loves the attention.
