If you take Ocean Parkway in Brooklyn to the Battery Tunnel into Manhattan about 20 minutes. Depending on traffic of course. By the way, the southern end of Ocean Parkway is Coney Island.

It depends on whether you take the belt or ocean parkway...plus where in manhattan are you going? It would change the route. If anything, I'd just hope on the Q train and spend the 45 minutes

The subway is the easiest way to get there. Get on the D, F, N or Q train and take it to the last stop (make sure you get on one that's going to Brooklyn). You can catch any of those trains at 34th Street (Herald Square), there are also other stops which may be more convenient for you. Have fun!

Mileage I have no idea. With traffic it'll take about an hour or so.
