Yes, they can recover WITH PROPER VET CARE!! One of the most important things is to keep them from becoming dehydrated. Since they have diarrhea and vomit with parvo the best way is with intravenous fluids which is something you cannot do at home.

There's no definite answer to this unfortunately as there are so many variables. But the only way that a pup has a chance of surviving Parvo is if they're treated in the early stages.
The main problem with Parvo is dehydration, and only an IV drip of fluids can combat this as they're unable to keep any water down at all. Fluids, rest and anti-biotics to fight any secondary infections caused by the Parvo are the only things you can do - and these need to be done in a veterinarians' clinic.
Sadly, there are often complications from Parvo. It can attack the heart and can cause great damage to the digestive tract. The good news is that if a pup does survive, it usually has no long-term side effects from being sick, and will have a lifetime immunity to the disease.
If you think your dog may have Parvo, his only hope is to receive immediate veterinary care though.

If a dog is treated in the early stages of parvo, he/she may recover, but ONLY with vet treatment. Make an appointment ASAP (as in today)!

You MUST get the dog to a vet - needs i.v. and constant care.
The dog has a good chance of being cured if it is early stage parvo and he received immediate vet care - NO chance at all without vetting and i.v.

Perhaps I watch Animal planet way too much.
Get your dog to the vet NOW! Parvo will kill if left untreated and is infectious. If you have other pets, they are at risk. On animal planet, when an animal has parvo it is quarantined and sometimes destroyed.

my frineds pitt bull had parvo. they took her to the vets as soon as she started throwing up, and they got her back to health. if u think ur dog has parvo u should really take to the vets but if u cant afford it try pedialite for kids. it wont hurt them and it will keep them hydrated.

Yes they can recover. Force feed rice with hamburger, but I would still bring the dog to a vet.
