I was curious who their prophet is?

I'm not listening to the slander. If you don't have prophecies outside the Bible, that's what I want to know. To be honest with you, I could care less about the Jehovah's Winesses but the question came to mind today.

Thardus must be one of those Christians that has limited God to the Bible. I don't except for one minute that God is only as smart as the Bible. Hence the reason for my question.

I looked that up a few years ago on the Internet, as regards the history of the WatchTower, etc etc. How it predicted the end of the world, etc etc and it never happened, another prediction, that never happened. I think they've learned by now...
Anyway there is a prophet here today - his name is Billy Meier. No he doesn't talk to God. Anyway he is setting the word straight about what spiritual teachings we were suppose to be taught, ie. Jesus Original teachings, was about praying to your own spirit, and not to a God who does not exist (see the documentary "The God Who Was Not There"). A lot of what he says, is common sense - and is along what most intelligent and aware people already know.

The bible, many times a bible prophecy is understood only as it is fulfilling or is fulfilled.

What we are learning is already in there, it is only being pointed out, by the way a prophet doens't necessarily mean someone who predicts but rather one who conveys information whether that is about predicting or just stating what is already there and telling others about it.

Bible prophecies are already there, no need for new visions or predictions but rather an understanding of what prophecies are already stated.

We have no prophet. All prophecies for our time were written aforetime in the Bible. Open yours and take a look. When you ask for holy spirit to understand the Bible, God gives it to you. You understand the prophecies.

Stop listening to the slander.

All prophecies are written down in the Bible

Jehovah's Witnesses have never had a contemporaneous prophet (that is, since the bible's completion 19 centuries ago).

Jehovah's Witnesses have never pretended that they are infallible or inspired. Jehovah's Witnesses have never pretended that they experience miraculous messages from God or Christ. For more than a century, Jehovah's Witnesses have always presented their suppositions as the result of sincere bible research, rather than as "predictions" or "prophesying".

Interestingly, however, even those Christians who did enjoy direct communication from heaven at times came to wrong conclusions; these wrong conclusions were even communicated "out among the brothers"!

For example, the apostle Peter enjoyed remarkable privileges in the early congregation, but it seems that he was the source of an incorrect teaching about the apostle John that was not formally corrected until several DECADES had passed, and John himself finally wrote his gospel about 98 C.E.

(John 21:21-23) Peter said to Jesus: “Lord, what will this man do [that is, the apostle John]?” Jesus said to him: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you? You continue following me.” In consequence, this saying went out among the brothers, that [the apostle John] would not die. However, Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you?”

Jehovah's Witnesses apply the term "prophet" only in a very limited sense to themselves as a religion, not to individuals. The Scriptures indicate that whenever Jehovah purposes to execute judgment upon a people, he always makes arrangement for a 'prophet's work' as a warning. Their self-description as a "prophet" (in this limited sense) does not indicate special inspired knowledge or foreknowledge, but their willingness to perform Christ's assigned warning work in our day leading up to Armageddon.

What group is working harder than Jehovah's Witnesses to preach God's message globally (as Noah did before the Deluge)?

(Amos 3:7) For the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will not do a thing unless he has revealed his confidential matter to his servants the prophets.

(2 Peter 2:5) Noah, a preacher of righteousness...

(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

Watchtower Tract and Bible Society is. That's why their prophesies fail. The Bible is true. There is no need for additional literature, or for an organization to "interpret" it.

And Vot Ana-JW's don't even believe in the Holy Spirit indwelling people like Christians do. Otherwise, you'd believe that the Holy Spirit is God, like Jesus is.

EDIT (In response to the comment):

I'm not sure what you mean by "God is only as smart as the Bible", but think about what you said. If I am just "one of those Christians", then I'm going to be blunt-those "other Christians" who trust outside sources (other than the Bible) aren't really Christians. Christianity entails a relationship with Jesus Christ, the one revealed in the Bible. Biblical Christianity is the only true Christianity.

Does my answer not hold true? Who else is prophecising for JW's than Watchtower?

I am guessing you are thinking of the Bible. Ultimately it's all in there.
