It all depends on your feelings for him. Is he a person you would be willing to date, and to call your boyfriend? Are you the kind of a person that will not be ashamed of him calling you his girlfriend in front of other people? You got two options, you either tell him you want to keep the relationship at a friend level, or you agree to him taking you on a date. Most important thing is for you to be honest, as it may be embarrassing for a minute but it will save both of you heartache in the long run.

If you like him the way he likes you, then I say go for it.

Honestly, I think that you should be friends or at least know the person you like and want to go out with for a little bit first before you go out with him. You guys should be comfortable together, have lots to talk about, be honest with each other, etc. I learned that from my last relationship because we didn't really know each other beforehand, so when we got together, it was really awkward because I didn't really know much about him and all, so I wanna be friends with my next guy before I go out with him.

Hope that helps!

the best dates/relationships are guys as friends first. There is not the usual awkwardness because you already know each other. You can be your self, he can be himself. You already know what to talk about. Your not as nervous and you already know how to have fun together. It is really just opening yourself up to the idea to think of each other differently, more romantically.

well go with your heart. do you have feelings for him other then friends? could you see yourself dating him? if i was you i would date him if you have feelings for him but i wouldnt let the fact that you have been friends for a while stop you. me and my finacee were friends for along time before we ever dated. so i would say go for it if you have feelings for him. atleast you know that you have a best friend no matter what.

Sounds good. Since you are friends then you have rapport with each other already. Date him and see if you can add romance to your already existing relationship.
