I think alot if people dont have a religion, thats sometimes refered to as agnosticism (you would be an agnostic) or undecided. I want to point out that while alot of religions seem the same (many believe the old testement or at least the first five books(law books) they differ greatly and cannot all be true. That said if they aren't all true(most say you will either die or burn in eternal hell fires if you believe in the wrong one) then you should work hard on finding the one that you are most comfortable with intelligently believing as true. Now I'm guessing by your search for a religion that you think there is a God, well, I want to strengthen that, there is alot of evidence for there being a God, and there are alot of things to look to to show that we were created. Our amazing struckture (ever studied an atom?) is one proof, have you ever seen something so complex evolve, in fact, have you ever seen anything evolve? it just doesn't happen and if your going to be religious you need to really be religious. The world wide flood has been proven and (some of the evidence for the flood proves creation) one way it has been proven is the austin chalk, it is a line the goes EVERYWHERE and it was caused by a flood, now this is archeology provinding evidence for a flood, boy oh boy, so then after you get past the facts that there is a God, you have to decide which one.
In deciding which one you need to think about your options, you could have one God who sits in heaven promising you someday someone will come and save you and never fulfilling his promise as of yet (Jewish)
or you could have a God who sits in heaven and tells you that everryone else is evil so we should KILL THEM ALL (this would be muslims - especially the ones who did the 9/11 attackes they went down believing they would get something like 15 virgins in heaven if they did what they did)
or you could have a God who realized how sinful his creation was and sent down an incarnation to die for your sins (otherwise he would have had to punish you) and he is offering you this wonderful gift of being saved from punishment.
Obviosly you can tell I'm a christian and the last option is the one I hold dear to my heart, but there is also evidence for that answer, there is evidence that Jesus came and there is evidence that he was divine
If you want email me and I'll show you all the evidence ( not all but alot)
All in all I hope you look into religions and their plausibility and you should read up on what they say and their main doctrines maybe go to a church for each religion and talk to the pastor (I do admit christian pastors rarely ever know the answer to HOW CAN YOU PROVE THAT? but getting the basic belif system is good so you know what your agreeing with.
Then decide for yourself, pray, even if you don't know who your praying too, that he, whoever he is, shows himself to you.
I'll be praying for you too...
Good luck,
Hope it helps,
Jess
By the way religion doesnt add to your constraints it frees you from them

I think religions are the cause of many wars ... People will kill others easier if they think they are doing the work of God .. I was born a catholic but i am not practising! The priests have been found guilty of abusing young kids who they were suppose to be protecting .... The vatican is the richest organisation in the world. It could eliminate a lot of third world debt tomorrow but it decides not to ... They also have the biggest porn collection in the world .... And this is all the work of God .. Nonsense

i don't classify myself, too many opposing views to the divisions of Christianity, I'm not an atheist or catholic, baptist, etc...... i believe in Jesus and try to follow his teaching
if he's non existent or a lunatic, he's still better than everyone

im a "Casual Agnotsic" which means: i don't know/nor do i care whether there is a god or not.
to those who claim Atheism, i ask you this: are you a casual (just say there is no god) or are you a philosophical (tries to prove there is no god). I don't really care, just wondering if you people actually understand atheism.

I don't have any religion. I think it is used to keep people subjugated and non free thinking or as Kerry King of Slayer puts it:
"A bunch of sh!t...!"

I don't have a religion, in that I don't have any beliefs in any gods.
Hence, I am, by definition, an atheist.
