He was "supposedly" drunk and tried to enter our apartment. He told police that his friend left a door unlocked for him, but he had forgotten which apartment it was. I don't buy it. This is the 2nd time that this has happened in the past 6 months. He dropped his insurance card near our front door. It was ripped which makes me wonder whether he tried to use it to jimmy our lock. How can I obtain info on him?

I've tried searching my school's directory, myspace, facebook, even typing name into yahoo and google. No luck.

I should probably clarify, in regard to the ripped card, that he just told police that he just tried turning the knob--at least that's how the police conveyed it. I think otherwise.

Request a copy of the report if there was one. If not request or subpoena the FI that may have been done on him.

You can try googling him. I'd talk to the police and have them keep an eye on your apartment and also tell the landlord about this. Sounds like this guy is just waiting for an opportunity to break in. The police should have checked him out to see if he has priors. Make sure you lock everything even when you are home.

Unfortunately, thats a good defense to burglary. Burglary is entering into a structure/conveyance without permission with the intent to commit another crime.
The excuse he gave is a good alibi, provided that his "friend" lives somewhere in that apartment, otherwise I would have taken him to jail.
Since you are looking for Information on the guy, I'll assume that no report was taken? I'm not sure why you want information on the guy, but you could try your local clerk of courts website and check on what types of crimes and traffic infractions he's been charged with.

See what the police will give you. Other than that, since you have his name, try a couple of different search engines. And ask around; sometimes gossip is the best way to uncover stuff.

generally police reports are open to public if you have his name maybe you can check with the court house and see if he has a record and talk to the police and maybe they can keep an eye out. just be honest with the police most police are good people

I cant believe it. You should try looking for him on this website
http://www.nsopr.gov/ here you can see if he is a sexual offender or if he has ever been. You can do a national search and it will search for info all over the United States.

i think of that once the police left with the defendant something of your night replaced into crammed with apprehension and you have been imaging an impressive variety of issues. the possibilities of the guy having an accomplice are small and the final place he could be could be around your residing house. The police have the guy so relax elementary.
