ok please dont answer until you read this first :
christians are discriminate, hateful people who say that anyone who doesnt believe in their god must worship satan, and they try to convert people even thought they make it clear they arent interested in changing their beliefs

thats what i think about christians, but i always have people telling me that: "well those arent TRUE christians" or "those are only a certain group of christians, they dont account for all of us"
that seems like the majority, not the minority
they may not account for all, but has anyone else noticed that out of 100 christians, only about 3 dont fit the above description?

Well, I am a Christian. I only think Satanist worship Satan, and most of them don't really believe Satan exists. I don't like intolerance, and I hate my own. That is why I like to learn about other peoples beliefs. I believe everyone should hear the case for God..If they don't want to believe, that is their right. It is a message and you have the right to refuse. I can tell you have been hurt and I am sorry. I don't know what more to say since you don't give me examples. I know some people can be very rude, but their are rude people in all groups. All I ask is that before you hate any one find out what they are about..don't just hate someone because of their beliefs or lack of them.

"discriminate, hateful people who say that anyone who doesnt believe in their god must worship satan, and they try to convert people even thought they make it clear they arent interested in changing their beliefs"

And what is discriminate and hateful about people who have
a strong conviction that everyone is wrong (including ourselves) and only God is right and only God can save humanity! There is nothing discriminate and hateful about that, only according to those who deify themselves and
mankind above God.

Sorry, but that is true - it is a different viewpoint -
different apparently than you hold.
ppl just don't understand and have lost their wholesome
appitite for truth and knowledge of God.

I have personally NEVER told anyone they were going
hell or that they worshiped satan - that is not my place,
however, even if I DID say that (or my beliefs imply
that) it should not offend anyone who
does not believe in hell or satan - why would it?
It is an opinion, one that does not in ANY WAY
restrict anyone of unalienable rights on earth.

Why all the fuss? - I don't get it at all!

I think your sampling methods may be biased there.

It's quite possible that 97% of the loud, vociferous, obnoxious, proselytizing Christians you have met do indeed fit this stereotype.

But that doesn't necessarily mean that 97% of all Christians fit the stereotype - only 97% of the ones that have been loud and obnoxious enough for you to notice.

I myself have actually rarely ever met any of this form of Christian. Except here on R&S, where they seem to be a majority. Again, this is probably an artifact of sampling bias, rather than a true representation of Christian demographics.

From the sampling of atheists here on R&S, it would be easy to conclude that atheists are erudite, intelligent and sexy, if perhaps a tad on the sarcastic and smug side - but this does not necessarily mean that it is true of the atheist population in general.

Because Christians are mostly oblivious to what they really believe in. Most don't even read the bible with the intention of learning anything. I know this because I used to be a Christian and every one I knew only went there to fit in. People, especially in small towns, conform to the social standard of church. Not every Christian is bad, I know a lot of good people who are Christians and actually take the Bible and teachings to Heart. But the majority don't and have absolutely no knowledge on the history of their religion.

You are losing it, dear.

You want to throw the baby out with the bath water.

Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me." John 14:6

Now if you want to find excuses to reject Christians, fine. Go ahead, but your rejection of Christ will cost you. NO ONE on this side of heaven has it right.

Read the gospels Chad. Sit down turn off the computer and read it for yourself. If you can resist Him, and tell me He is not God, then I'll know your true condition.........that you are not seeking.

FYI, there are hundreds if not thousands of churches out there that don't teach the full gospel or bible. But that doesn't make Jesus wrong.

Sadly, most of the people who attend most of the churches are not Christians. They're just thinking if they check off Sunday morning they're good to go. It doesn't work that way.

A lot of Christians, in my opinion, do not get outside the box and study or experience other things (science, engineering, philosophy, ethics, etc.). I have, and I have only found a small percentage of others who have as well.

maybe one in ten who claim to be Christian actualy are... and that number is probably much smaller.... And the world puts the lable "christian" on many many more who are not... and in fact many who actualy think they are... are not... If you would like to know some of the basics of The True Christian Faith... and who is a True Christian... feel free to email me... one honest question will receive one honest answer.

All who come to God in The Way He prescrcibes will receive His free gift of Salvation. those become part of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ Is The Head. Those are the ones of The True Chirstian Faith. Only those of The Church will enter Heaven.

That answer is fond in their own Bible.
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Many Christians, especially from the North globe are not doers of what they supposedly believe in.
Hence why they are hateful people and hypocrites, etc...

At my church only 3 out of 100 DO fit this description. There are Evangelicals and then there are most Catholics, Episcopalians, Methodists, and *some* Presbyterians.

I am a Christian and yes I have noticed that too. People are people, no one is perfect, obviously you can spot the ones who shouldn't be listened to. I am not sure what you believe spiritually but I am sure there are lots of times others who claim the same as you embarrass you too.
