impossible.
there was no single, universal "original" pagan religion, and if there somehow was, we have no trace of it.
much of modern neo-paganism draws the positive elements out of various pagan traditions. There are lots of good books; for an overview comparing some of the various paths in recent times, I reconmmend "Drawing Down the Moon" by Margot Adler.
to really try to scrutinize the various old pagan religions, you wil lhave to read a lot of scholars' works, and still not have a complete picture - only their modern interpretations.

As a teacher of history and religion, I've come to loathe that book. It's fiction. Not just the plot. Lots of information in it. Information Brown claims is historical...isn't.
"Paganism" isn't a religion. The word is most often used to designate a non-Judeo-Christian religion. The Greeks were pagan. The Romans were pagan. The Celts were pagan. The Hindus are pagan. That doesn't mean any of these religions have anything to do with each other. Something that is true for the Romans might not be true for the Celts. And some things that Brown claims aren't true for anyone.
If you want to learn about pagan religion, you need to know which culture's religion you would like to learn about.

Ok...now I know how the Christians feel. I take it all back guys.
The DaVinci Code is a GREAT book with spots of truth, but remember it's a fiction book. Good fiction, but fiction.
There is no "original pagan" religion. There are 1000's of them. Norse, Greek, Druid, Celtic, Roman, Egyptian, Sumerian, Chinese, Hindu, etc. They go back to the stone age. Literally. You would have to ask a more specific question to get a better answer.

There is no such thing. There were many pagan religions and none of them worshiped a goddess alone. They had many gods and goddesses.

we probably don't know what the original was exactly. It would have been something that prehistoric man would have come up with...possibly gazing at the stars or contemplating the death of a loved one...
