To most educated adults, religion has to have a intellectually satisfying aspect. If we were asked to believe unquestionably for example that before the intervention of the Almighty all people had two heads and 6 legs--most reasonable people would accept that as either untrue or allegorical. To support the two head and 6 leg theory when there is no evidence requires either a completely closed mind or simple mindedness. Why is it so difficult to understand that rejecting the literal interpretation of the bible does not mean religion is thrown out as well. I believe in evolution and I believe in God--and it is very satisfying since there is no conflict between the observed world and the world of faith. It must be difficult to close ones eyes to the realities surrounding you. How do you deal with facts you do not like?

Which god do you believe in?
Was Jesus a liar?
Were his apostles liars?
Do you think some evil liar snuck in and changed the Bible?

Can the logic that believes in some kind of god include that said god created everything?
If there is a god who is believed to have created everything limited to evolution?
Is it possible for a god to create trees from nothing and while doing it add age rings?
Could said god also create everything already in motion and only looking like it had been there a while so as to confound those who look in the wrong places to find there father?
Could I be wrong in thinking that all these are possible?
To all the above, yes!
But I don't believe Jesus was a liar or his apostles.

We reject religion because there's no evidence for ANY of it -- literal or figurative.

Now, if you want to offer up some real evidence for critical examination, then we'll have something to talk about; but unless and until you do, you've got NOTHING.

First off, evolution as you put it is still theory although it is taught as fact. Second you choose to believe both why can you not accept that others choose to believe one or the other to the exclusion of others.
