Sounds like you had a good artist do this tattoo. Heavy scabs are indicative of a heavy handed artist.
Some of my tattoos shed their scabs in just a few days as well, and I've never had a problem with them. I love them all!
Congrats on re-joining the tattoo world after a long hiatus!

I don't believe it's that unusual, a friend of mine was telling me her back piece was mostly peeling away after about a week, and the scab on my most recent tat started to come away within about 9-10 days - I think it might have been the placement on my inner arm, where the surrounding muscles would have been flexing a lot and that possibly drove the scab off.

No, it's not that unusual. It all depends on where the tattoo is, how much ink was used, etc. Some of mine healed really fast, like the ones with thin outlines and not much shading, but the one that has a lot of shading took a while.

just because the scab is gone doesn't mean it is healed. you may get a secondary scab that is thinner and clear. just keep treating it as your artist suggested until two weeks has passed. usually my scabs are gone by day 10 but you may just be a faster healer.
good luck!

Generally tattoos could take up to 2weeks to heal. However, color heals slower while black and grey heals faster.Usually only takes a week for black and grey to heal. It's only a problem if the tattoo faded badly.

Nah. It can vary depending on your general health, the spot on your body, all kinds of things.
My two tattoos on my torso took about a week to heal. The one on my calf took about two. I chalk it up to a difference in blood flow.

Perfectly normal
You are probably just in
really good health right now.
Some of mine (the smaller ones)
healed quicker than others.

IT JUST SHOWS THE TALENT OR THE ARTIEST YOU CHOOSE TO INK YOU. If he had went to deep it would have taken longer ,,,being that fast,,, he was a talented artiest.
