I posted a youtube race in which a 04 cobra with nothing other then a supercharger swap smoke a stock 07 z06 vette. The mustang was so much faster then the vette that 2 chevy guys actually said there was no way the stang only had a supercharger swap. Hate to break it to you guys, but yes that is all it had. The guy is my friend, and he has the supercharger swap with the smaller pulleys that come with it, bigger fuel injectors and a tune. Thats it. It is a well know fact to anyone that has any racing experience at all that the 03/04 cobras with nothing other then a kenne bell or whipple swap can run low 10 second 1/4 miles. You can see it for yourself at any track in america on any given weekend. I will even post a site below that proves it to you. It has all the actual dyno info. 617rwhp with nothing more then a supercharger swap and the small supporting components. Ask any Chevy guy with racing experience, he will tell you the same.

The real chevy racers respect the 03/04 cobras like the real ford racers respect the corvette z06's. Take a 2002 z06 and put a supercharger on it and you better have some serious respect for that vette!

Like I said above, this isnt B.S. or anything like that. I just wanted to share some info with the people that actually have a life and dont spend half of there life at the track like I do. If you doubt all that I have said and shown, go to any track in america or ask any guy that works at any dyno shop and you will either see or hear exactly the same as you have seen and heard here. The cobra come from the factory with a "built" motor. This means there engines have all forged internal parts so they are capable of handling up to 1000hp. For those of you that dont know, rwhp is Rear Wheel Horse Power. The number you get from the factory is fly wheel horse power. Its simple physics, the 07 z06 weighs around 3300lbs and makes 505 fly wheel hp which is equal to around 450rwhp. The 03/04 cobra (with the supercharger swap) weighs around 3600lbs and makes 617rwhp(or around 700 flywheel hp). Thats about 177 more rwhp then the z06, more then enough to make up for the 300lbs.

I agree with you 100% and appologize for having to post "street races". I do not in any way support street racing and wish I would have video taped last weekend at the track. I have just posted this street racing to show the potential of the 03/04 cobras and wont be posting anymore street racing. The track is absolutely the only place where you should race and this weekend I will be recording racing from the track and will only post that in the future. Monday, I will post some races so you guys can see some more cobras and vettes in action.

sorry, did we hurt your feelings, truth hurts doesnt it. The brag is that you can whoop a $80,000 z06 with a $25,000 04 cobra with a $3500 supercharger swap. So for a total cost of $28,500 you can smoke a $80,000 z06. Your comment makes no sense. The cobra is the only $30,000 car on the planet that completely stock with nothing more then switching superchargers, can beat lambos, farrari's, vipers, z06's. To make your z06 keep up with the cobra it would cost you an additional $3500. Thats something to brag about, "my $80,000 car can keep up with your $27,500 car if I added a supercharger, woo hoo!!!"

i just read your post again, wow. You dont see people get as hurt as you did unless we hit the nail right on the head. We could take the supercharger off the 04 cobra and if we had $50,000 to put in to the motor without a supercharger, the cobra would smoke the z06 without a supercharger. The price for the power and how easy it is to make a 04 cobra faster then a z06 is the point here. In the future, dont let the truth hurt and scare you so much, then you wont get as upset.

Although Im not sure why you spent all this time typing this it is true.You shouldnt have to type this because if people dont already know this is possible and happens all the time they arent worth tellin.My friend has an 04 cobra with full exhaust a pulley swap and a tune which got him 440rwhp.80 rwhp for 1 days work,thats not bad at all.He could throw a kenne bell on his cobra running the same amount of boost as the eaton and be over 500 horsepower.Get some more boost with the kenne bell and you can make some serious horses.
Oh and npftech, a supercharger on a 11.0:1 zo6 not a great idea,not to mention the cast pistons.

Mustangs always had a reputation of beating the Vette in the old days on the 1/4 tracks. Tee Hee. Nothing better than a $20-39K car beating a $50-80k car.

I saw the video and i think the Corvette guy has more money that he has experience to drive a car like this, AAHH, of course, the Cobra has 617HP on the rear and these kind of suerchargers are made to perform, like the turbos, a little swap in the perfect place and can give you 200hp more, like a guy in Quebec, that runs with a 125hp 84'duster and his turbo develops more than 600hp!!and i know a guy with a SVT Lightning with 550 hp in the rear and he runs 12 secs flat in a 1/4 mile

50k to outdo a vette naturally aspirated? you could do it for around 10k. take any fox body mustang (about a grand for a decent rolling chassis), get a 545ci shortblock (2550 plus shipping) throw some ported trick flow streets on (2650 assembled) nice solid roller cam and lifters and associated valvetrane (about 1000 dollars), victor intake (about 350), and a 1150 holley carb (about 800 dollars), built c-6 automatic (about a grand), motor and tranny mounts (about 350), headers (about 500), and youve got a car thatll outdo about anything for about 10k in parts.

all i have is a 03 gt and i spanked a few hondas in my town cuz thats really all there is to race just about and there like "man you got more done then a cold air and flowmasters" so yea your right i know i smoked em lol..one of them boys with the hondas sold his like a week after i spanked him and got a truck lol...i know its bad that i race hondas there slow and only have like 190 hp but the think there fast so im showin them there not lol

It does sound pretty sweet. I've never been a big fan of Corvettes and my dad has owned a couple of Mustangs so my answer is biased. I do love all American muscle cars though so it would be great I think.
