i guess i worded it wrong, i mean like actually basing an answer solely on what the bible says, not taking a scripture and cutting it in half and filling it with your own thoughts and ideas. Didnt mean to offend anyone, but if everyone based their answer on what the bible said, then everyone would have the same answer to a question.

I'm a believer, but please don't get the fundies started with their never ending scripture quoting. I'd rather hear fingernails being scratched over a chalkboard.

What are you talking about? It happens constantly much to the aggravation of everyone else here. It drives the rest of us nuts and we've all been trying to put a stop to that bit of idiocy. If you quote your religious text, you really have nothing to say at all because you cant speak for yourself.

Because quoting something, just to quote it, holds no true meaning. The words become stale... They become like seeds that don't take root, because they were just thrown out there with no real effort to nurture them with love. ;-)

It's all about finding your own meaning within the words you follow, and then nurturing them, so that when they take root in your own personal garden you'll be given new seeds (words) to plant elsewhere.

I have not been long on Yahoo!xtra answers, but I have noticed that people do quote the Bible. In fact I have on quite a number of my answers.

Now THAT'S an odd question.

Seems like the OTHER frequently asked "question" is: "How come SO MANY quote their bible in the R&S section?"

Oh I would love to:

Leviticus 1:15 And the priest shall bring it unto the altar, and wring off his head, and burn it on the altar; and the blood thereof shall be wrung out at the side of the altar:

Nice god you guys have there.

You must come from a Bizarro world where "good bye" means "hello", and "good" means "bad".

Hurry and turn back before it's too late! George Bush became president in this reality!

You haven't been reading the posts. Funny today an atheist complained that was all we did!

LOL, Christians are attacked for doing this.

Now we're being attacked for not doing it.

What a hoot!
Damned if we do, damned if we don't.
We can't ever win with some of you folks.
